CREATION OF THE VACUUM FLASK SCOTTISH SCIENTIST SIR JAMES DEWAR CREATED A PARTIAL VACUUM TO KEEP THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CONTENTS STABLE. THE THERMOS BRAND IS BORN. WILLIAM B. WALKER FOUNDED THE AMERICAN THERMOS BOTTLE COMPANY INCORPORATED IN PORTLAND, MAINE. "THERMOS JUMBO JUG“ (GALLONSIZED INSULATED FOOD CONTAINER) WAS INTRODUCED TO THE MARKET, LATER IT STARTED BEING USED BY PEOPLE TO STORE INSULIN AS WELL.

THE COMPANY ‘CAMEL’ (HONG KONG) DEVELOPED ITS FIRST FULLY INTEGRATED CAMEL VACUUM FLASK, CALLED MODEL 147, WITH ITS SIGNATURE GROOVED, VERTICAL CASING.

“FUNTAINER“ (LUNCHBOXES FOR KIDS)

THE LIDO SPOUT, (WHICH RESEMBLES A BIRD’S HEAD AND BILL) WAS INTRODUCED BY THE CAMEL VACUUM FLASK COMPANY . THE CONVEX PROTECTIVE COVER PREVENTED DUST FROM SETTLING ON THE STOPPER AND MADE THE FLASKS MORE AESTHETICALLY PLEASING.

Typological research

Thermically isolated bottles help maintaining the liquid’s temperature over a long period of time and are often used to transport hot beverages such as tea or coffee. Most models come with built-in cups which make them practical even for outdoor activities.

BOXES BAGS

To further ensure the freshness an desired temperature of the food isolated bags provide an easily portable allin-one object to carry one’s lunchboxes, bottles, food and groceries. The different sizes and materials can be chosen according to the most suitable option.

BOT TLES

To transport warm food of every consistency, from soup to meat, isolated lunchboxes are the perfect solution to make sure to have a hot meal outdoors or on the go. With a variety of countless design options, sizes, compartment and dividing options and even builtin cutlery there is a perfect solution for every meal.

The Lego Lunchbox

This thermal food container embraces practicality and style. Due to its main clip-on function this object is easily adaptable and/or customizable to the users needs which makes it the perfect portable companion for a roadtrip, for school lunches or work.

The Hol(e)y Lunchbox

Its donut-shaped design makes this thermal food container the best option for outdoor fun with friends and family. Thanks to the all-in-one system (composed of a bottle and food containers) and its flippable mechanism, it has the right mix of aesthetics and practicality.

Concept

Sketches

The lunchbox consists of an outer shell that is closed through hinges. This shell, made from stainless steel, creates another layer of isolation to further maintain the food’s temperature.

CLOSED OPEN

When opened, one can see that the outer shell is constructed around a thermos bottle. The flask is additionally inserted into the base compartment which contains cutlery and cups.

FILLED

The eclipse- or c-shaped food containers can be removed individually and filled with food of any consitency. Inserted into the outer shell they fit perfectly around the bottle.

Thermal Lunchbag

This is an essential accessory for comfortably carrying food and drinks. Its interior covered with thermal fabric maintains the temperature of the food even if you are using non-thermal tuppers. Perfect for the workplace, school or a picnic.

This elegantly rounded thermically isolated lunchboxsystem not only keeps food at its desired temperature but additionally comes with a smart and individual solution for any amount of food one wants to carry. Thanks to the uniformal stacking technique the knob on the lid can be stacked into the deepening of every box of the set thus making the transportation as easy as possible.

The lid is screwed on the container and additionally isolated with a ring made of rubber to guarantee the perfect temperature all day.

The several containers provide the perfect amount of space for any type of food: from sauces to soup, rice, pasta, meat or salad - stack and combine!
