Comprehensive activities space

In the space of the ground floor, we have made a lot of different aempts to the space with the concept of slted building. From the size of the opening hole and the rhythm of their combinaon, people will have different feelings in the space. Finally, we choose the fourth opon as the final one.

Restaurant experience

option 4

In the first floor, we soened the original hard pieces of roof, let it appear in the space in the form of lines, and tried a lot of curvature. Finally, we choose the second opon as the final one.

HIKING SOUND LIBRARY Hiking is a way for human to insert self-consciousness and themself into nature. I hope to encourage people to go hiking and stimulate their desire to explore nature

SITE RESEARCH

HIKING TEXTURE RECORD Along the hiking route of the city, there are many different landscapes and landforms along the way. The special texture on the white cliff, scattered stones, soil, beach by the sea, polished gravel, reeds, blue sea water and sky. I recorded my feelings and what I saw and heard along the way. When hikers crosses in the nature, the erosion trace of stone, soil is a way for people to contact with nature.

EASTBOURN’S STONE ON HIKING ROAD

On the hiking way, the stones trampled on by the hikers form pressure on the ground and create traces, which allows the visitors to shuttle between the footprints of the hikers and understand and listen to their stories.

HIKING RECORD

MODEL DEVELOPMENT The city has a long coastline. When we walk along the coastline, the traces of waves and footprints of people walking on the beach will be left one after another

Hiking is a way for human to insert self-consciousness and themself into nature. When a hiker crosses in the nature, the erosion trace of stone, soil is a way for people to intervene with nature.

Movable & Modular which can grow with the the event happened. There are many slopes in the city. I hope people will cross every road in the city when they cross the mall again

Interspersed structure to imitate the state of people walking through nature., The state of leaning against a cliff. With modularization, parts can be replaced and the function of space can be changed

The extended coastline and the unique white cliff geology, with twists and turns, remind me of the foldable structure, just like the zigzag landform, which makes people feel like crossing under the cliff

MODEL DEVELOPING PROCESS

MODEL TEST 2 Simulate layers of terrain and routes, like hikers crossing layers of space, trying to create a psychedelic effect with light and shadow.

Draft model for test the shape of simulate the terrain and route of layers, make a atmosphere like hiker crossing layers of space, trying to create a psychedelic effect with light and shadow.

MODEL TEST 1

MODEL TEST 3

Simulate the folded terrain, zigzag routes and holes in the wall through which the hikers cross, and simulate the traces caused by the pressure on the ground caused by the stones stepped on by the hikers on the way back, so that the viewers can shuttle between the footprints of the hikers and understand and listen to their stories.

Tried different type of texture of the wall, to see which one is better to fit the space.

100% of the beverage packaging materials developed by rewall in the United States have not been reused. Recycled materials are initially used for interior wall cladding, but when pressed together, they can also be used as structural building materials

FINAL EFFECT

The rock cavity of kiosk simulates that people open the car window and hear the wind outside the car or various natural sounds through the window. When people put their heads close to the holes, they can hear stories and natural sounds recorded by hikers from the Eastbourne .

ROOM OF BALANCE When people face the unknown, they instinctively retreat, test, explore and finally discover the truth. But people always be careful to protect the fragile things that are easy to collapse and want to maintain their balance.

RESEARCH

When people eat cake, we habitually want to keep the balance of the cake. When the cake is about to collapse, we will cut off the other side of the cake. People are always very careful to protect the fragile things that are easy to collapse and want to maintain their balance.

When a person becoming vegetables or an objects

Bystander Heterogeneous one room but different space

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT In the original performance, the direction of the audience was changed according to the performer. When the performer moves in that direction, the audience will change their position according to their direction, and the density and balanced distribution of the crowd in the overall space. However, in this installation stage, the audience moves around the device and surrounds the performer in the middle. The audience can slightly push the device, causing the imbalance of the performer and allowing the performer to change his balance through the actions of the audience.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

The closest layer of transparent or patterned wrapping paper outside the cake is also the key to keep the balance of the cake, so in the device design, wrap the periphery of the stage. First of all, I don't want the audience to explore all at once, just like eating cake to understand the taste of space step by step. When the audience shuttles through the space, it seems that they are eating the space they pass step by step, and constantly see different parts of the performers on the stage. At the end of the space, they will find the real cake for display.
