Drug, firearm charges A MAN has been arrested after the discovery of drugs, weapons, and cash at a Patterson Lakes house, 21 June. A 25-year-old Patterson Lakes was spoken to by police outside the Broadway in Bonbeach at around 9.30pm. Police allegedly found cannabis after searching his car. Police then searched the man’s Solway Court home. Investigators allegedly found cannabis and amphetamine, an imitation handgun, ammunition, throwing knives, and a large amount of cash at the home. The man was charged with traffick and possess a drug of dependence, firearm offences and possess proceeds of crime. He was remanded to appear at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 24 June.

Lights out CHELSEA Police nabbed a driver who was alleged to be driving over three times the legal blood alcohol limit, 9pm 19 June. Police noticed the car driving without headlights and intercepted the driver, She allegedly blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.175. The Waterways woman had her licence immediately suspended and her vehicle impounded.

Credit card thief hunted POLICE are looking to identify a man who stole and used a credit card in Carrum Downs during the early hours of 10 June. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe that the credit card was stolen from a parked car on Oberon Drive, Carrum Downs, overnight between 9 June and 10 June. The stolen card was used to buy $150 worth of cigarettes at a Frankston-Dandenong Road service station just after 5am on 10 June. Investigators have released an image (below) of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries. Anyone with information or who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Caught in the mud A MAN was caught overnight on 18 June allegedly trying to steal tow cables from a vehicle. Mordialloc Police located the man, and found him to be in possession of an allegedly stolen vehicle at the time. Police said the alleged offender was attempting to steal the cables to help free another stolen vehicle which he had
