Internship Announcement Research/Writing Intern Posted November 21, 2010 Organizational description: Chefs Collaborative is a national chef network committed to improving sustainability in our food system through information, education, and collaboration with the broader food community. Job description: Chefs Collaborative seeks a research and writing intern for the Winter‐Spring 2011, beginning in January. This is an unpaid, 20 hour/week position. Working with the program director, the research and writing intern will be responsible for generating a number of sustainable food reports and fact sheets for distribution to our member network. The intern will: o Work with the program director to set up a publications calendar and schedule. o Conduct research on a number of topics of interest to the Chefs Collaborative network of chefs and culinary professionals. o Draft sustainable food reports and fact sheets; work with program director to shape the tone and direction of these pieces. o Draft press releases, blog posts, and social media posts to publicize reports. o Represent the organization to members and at events as necessary. Qualifications: o Strong writing and research skills; preferably for publication. o Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. o Interest and familiarity with sustainable seafood and agriculture issues as well as the culinary field.
