MAGIC VALUE & VIEW FINDER
Criss-cross your canvas or paper lightly with three vertical lines and three horizontal lines- the same as on the “viewing grid.” They serve as a guide for the angle. Hold the “machine” at arms length, then scan around and pick the composition you like best. Move the thin steel strips around on the magnetic border to line up with the building angles, the street, the mountain, etc., see where they cross the little squares, then mark the same crossings on your squared-off canvas or paper. Note: The blue filter tint is to neutralize the colors so that you may readily see true values.
