Spotlight on: Ng Báez published the book “Santo Domingo’s Chinatown.”

Félix Núñez El Salvador (ICCT 2007, ADP 2012)

On Jan. 8, 2016, Gen. Núñez became the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces in El Salvador. The mission of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is to advise the high command and lead the permanent branches and support units of the armed forces.

IIn the same ceremony, Brig. Gen. Alirio Garcia Flamenco(NationLab 2014 - El Salvador) was appointed deputy of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces. You can read more about their appointments here:

Oliva is currently a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science’s Department of Government where he is studying international security and military philosophy. Javier Oliva Mexico (SDP 2009)

Marcela Ortiz Costa Rica (CTOC 2015)

Ortiz was recently interviewed by the United States Embassy in San José about her experience as a woman working in the security sector and how U.S. training has helped her professionally. The interview was done in honor of Women’s Month in March 2016.
