Isle of Palms Resident Ryan Buckhannon Makes Run for Congress ISLE OF PALMS—An entrepreneur who has started three thriving businesses in South Carolina, Isle of Palms resident Ryan Buckhannon, 37, has undertaken his next big venture— running for Congress in 2010. Much like the working class Americans he champions, Ryan started out after college working multiple jobs to support his family. He and his brothers first created Buckhannon Brothers Tile Company, a tile, marble, and stone fabrication and installation company now headquartered out of a retail location at 502 Wando Park Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant. Soon after, Ryan utilized his Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Science to establish his second business, Coastal Chiropractic Clinic, on Isle of Palms. After Ryan and his wife Sonya were blessed with triplet boys, Ryan went on to open up his second chiropractic office, Atlantic Spine Clinic, in Mt. Pleasant. He also became very active in local politics, running for and winning an open seat on the Isle of Palms City Council, where he is currently serving his tenth year.
