From the late 1800s chandelier in the sitting room, to the finishes of the flooring, to the 400-pound, reclaimed wood beams in the kitchen, the team’s effort to execute the wishes of the Guarinos is evident. “Gina’s desires to only include pieces that she loves and to integrate her collection of items that have a story was a vital aspect of the design for this home,” mentions Caroline deVlaming Farrior of deVlaming Design, who joined the Jackson Built team. Aside from the look of the home, the layout of the home was crucial. With two growing children, Gina and Dent wanted a space for them to hang out in with their friends that was out of the way, yet

it needed to be an easy spot to keep an eye on them. For this, the JacksonBuilt ensemble integrated an entrance to the “teen suite” separate from the main house but not to far removed so that it felt isolated. All of these elements, plus many more, were made possible by the teamwork and planning of all parties involved.
