Concrete PoemThat fateful day My wine red hands, it's not a normality Heart thrashing against my chest, trying to break free Red and blue lights fogging my vision, I think I lost interest, its mere brutality The streaming flow of the red sea

<<<<<<<<<<<Metaphor

Beneath my feet Screaming, shouting, my head is pounding Cold sweats infest my body The thrill of murder, it's such a treat.

HaikusNature 1) melodic whistles of crashing waves sounds of wind howling against the ocean How relaxing does it feel -----------------2) Tall Trees engulf the hikers dark bark fly high in the sky Kissing the clouds on top ------------------

3) Cold winter days comfort me Snow hugging my house, masking the warmth Feeling the fire engulf me

PantoumSilent winds

Why does he appear mostly at night, never missing a day? Whispering from the other side of my thin window Full of character, his menacing voice just won't go away As the moon goes to slumber, my head sinks into my pillow

Whispering from the other side of my thin window He fills the silence with the same old airy mumbles As the moon goes to sleep, my head sinks into my pillow The man of the night, appearing to stay humble

He fills the silence with the same old airy mumbles It begins every other night, his presence is inconsistent, The man of the night, appearing to stay humble when appeared, low brisk of his breath remains persistent

It begins every other night, his presence is inconsistent, Oh how he appear mostly at night, never missing a day when appeared, the brisk of his breath remains persistent Full of character, his menacing voice just won't go away

Narrative PoemDealing with death Hyperbole She's trapped inside the artic chamber, The narrator is exaggerating in that she is saying the angel inside a snow globe is trapped where in reality it was just resting there Symbolism The angel inside the snow globe is meant to represent the narrators grandma who had recently passed away. The angel is in many ways like the grandma in that both are -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The glass globe withholding the thick white sheet of snow I observed the transfer of ice dust from top to bottom The ceramic angel in the center reminds me of a time long ago Why did you leave so suddenly, you were my best friend

The angel resting in the center has a blonde wig resembling you She's trapped inside the artic chamber, glitter sprinkling around Broken fragments, I believe it be from the lousy glue Cold snow globe yet I feel warm

There's never a day where I don’t think of you, no I should have dedicated more time with you, well spent I should have said it more often, I love you, too

Limericks Zoos There was a good boy named Brian Whom had long hair like dandelion But one day, it was cut no complaints n' what not What a good sport, especially for a lion

Sweet beginnings I met your mother in a high school dance She was so gorgeous, just starting to prance But when I looked at her eyes I no longer felt shy As we shared the same glance Silent crowds The pale, thin dancer twirled and spun In such elegance, she impressed everyone But she tripped, and she fell In a big loud yell at that moment, her embarrassment begun

Mans best friend: apostrophe Four legged mystical creatures- Epithet ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We humans do not deserve such a blessing Mans best friend is overlooked a lot Aiding us with those feelings we're suppressing Bubbled up inside feeling distraught, Four legged mystical creatures, whom kept us from stressing Not knowing the constant joy they brought Affection is not something those dashing sort forgot With them by our side, society kept progressing But now they're gone and I'm distressing Everything I knew, I thought Everything I knew was wrong My heart has sunk, how depressing

Apostrophe & Epithet

12

Sonnetred and blue Her young boy, whom drenched in heavy sweat peddled

gleam from the sun sunk in on her boy's greasy hair

oh how on that fateful day was he disheveled

facing the suns wrath and extreme glare

Riding against the torrent that was the wind

malnourished hands tightly grasping the handle bars

He wore a starved face from being so thinned

if only her young boy had seen the speeding cars

a shriek so loud that it was deafening

a mother so heartbroken that it was distressing

the ways in which the collision was severing

How it came back, the depression she was expressing

Now her son had also passed through

If dreams come true, nightmares do too

Theme: Death is so unexpected and horrific, enjoy your loved ones while you have them

Free verseThe joyous child

Adorned with baby blue eyes was the baby boy Bouncy blonde locks going up and down Calm and collected was he at age four Quirky and cuddly was the sweet child

Dollish deep set dimples when he smiles Dark dazzling eyes glaring around Enthusiasm that is the cause for envy Excitability was how he expressed extroversion

Fabulously flawless was the favorite child Fostering attention and infatuation Giggling glee came from him always Good mannered children will always be golden

imagery

Authors choiceDeep sorrows Free verse

Deep in each crevice of his mind lay his deepest darkest moments Enclosed in the area that’s confined His thoughts that feel so broken Each day that passes by

Each thought that engulfs the guilt Excess envy exerts and satisfies Weary minds that start to wilt Tired faces stained with tears All joy seems to always disappear
