The latest up and coming league: Meet the PLL

The PLL stands for Premier Lacrosse League
The league is owned by former player Paul Rabil. He was the first overall pick in the 2008 Major Lacrosse League (MLL). Paul went to Johns Hopkins University and was picked by the Boston Cannon and by the San Jose Stealth in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) The NLL is a box lacrosse league. Box lacrosse is an indoor variation of lacrosse. He played on the San Jose Stealth from 2008 - 2013 and joined the Boston Cannon from 2013 - 2018. In 2018 he founded the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) with his brother Mike Rabil
The PLL started June 1, 2019 with 8 teams in the league. The MLL joined the PLL and the resulting teams were: Archers, Atlas, Cannons, Chaos, Chrome, Redwoods, Waterdogs, and Whipsnakes Paul Rabil was on Atlas In 2021 he was traded to the Boston Cannon.Paul Rabil retired after that season.
Rabil attributed his retirement as a player to his desire to focus on the business side of the PLL and to continue building the league as well as his numerous other business ventures. The PLL has recently been listed on NASDAQ for $55.33.
The PLL is entering their 5th season. The season started June 3 with games in Albany, NY. The PLL plays games all around the U.S. The playoffs will start September 4 in Boston The Whipsnakes are favored to win the PLL championship
The PLL announced that each team will have a home city starting next season. The team will still be playing around the country but will be playing in their home cities a couple of times You should try and check out a game this summer!
