ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CONT.

One thing that I absolutely LOVED was the part where May, Shakespeare, Lance, and Francois sing “Everybody” by the Backstreet Boys in the middle of the second act. This was incredible and the energy and lighting were great. The set was incredible and it genuinely felt like I was at a Backstreet Boys concert. I also loved the crossover from one of Shakespeare's real shows, As You Like It. The family band was called De Bois Band and in Shakespeare's real play, there is a character named Sir Rowland de Bois who is the father of three kids, like Lance in & Juliet I counted how many times confetti was used, and I’m pretty sure it was four times. They also did a good job turning the ending into a moment in which the audience could participate in.
Overall, I think that the show was good It was not the best show I have ever seen, but it was better than I originally thought that it was going to be. I also want to touch on what an amazing opportunity it was to come along on this trip to see this show I think that it was a well written and professionally performed show The actors did incredible work and the ensemble had impressive dance moves. I can’t wait to see more musicals of this type come to Broadway with different genres of music and different stories. I give this show 3 5 stars!
