Goody Bags & Games
TENNESSEE TECH UNIVERSITY Associate Appreciation Week was a huge success at Tennessee Tech. The team hosted a full week of fun, celebrating their associates with goody bags, coupon wheels, an appreciation video and a “Pie a Manager” game night. They also surprised associates by renting out the local bowling alley for a family night over Spring Break.
Super Shout-Outs
CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, MONTEREY BAY At Cal State Monterey Bay, the team provided comment boxes for students to submit notes to any associate or team they wanted to shout-out. They received so many great notes that they reciprocated with thank-you boards for all to see. They also enjoyed an ice cream social, pizza meal, candy and campus-wide raffle.
Winning Hearts
FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY Cheryl Elliot at the FGCU Chick-fil-A recently received two awards for excellent customer service. Cheryl received the Winning Hearts Champion Award from Chick-fil-A corporate and the Unsung Hero Award from FGCU’s ROCK (Roots of Compassion and Kindness) Project.
“As part of FGCU’s ROCK (Roots of Compassion and Kindness) Project, we were tasked with nominating an Unsung Hero. I am nominating Cheryl Elliot. Cheryl has always been a ray of sunshine in my day. I get breakfast and lunch at Chick-Fil-A every Tuesday and Thursday. Ms. Cheryl is always there with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Cheryl goes out of her way to make many college students here feel welcomed by just being kind.”
Chef Extraordinaire
THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH On February 26, Chef Leslie LaScola of U of U headed to Reno, Nevada, for her first NACUFS Regional Cooking Competition. Coached by Chef Peter Hodgson, Chef Leslie spent months preparing her entry: Turkey Galantine with mushroom and spinach filling. She practiced by adjusting ingredients to elevate her dish. After countless hours perfecting it, Leslie won the regionals and will head to the national competition. There, she will compete against all the regional winners. Congratulations, Chef Leslie!
