OC Beaks Interviews There was a time when it was unusual for beaks NOT to be Old Carthusians, but this has not been the case for the last 150 years and we think that the exceptional number of OCs currently in Brooke Hall (nine) may be a record. Their collective memories of the School as pupils stretch from 1977 to 1982 and then in an almost unbroken run from 1989 to 2011. We thought it would be interesting to hear about their experiences as pupils, and also their reflections on returning to Charterhouse as beaks. Our team of inquisitive interviewers met with them one lunchtime in CQ and were rewarded with wide-ranging and illuminating conversations. Some information and anecdotes were just too sensitive to publish and must remain safely locked away for the historic record in the archives, but here are just a few interview snippets to pique your interest.
