Charles Reed Cagle

Charles Reed Cagle was born in Clarksville, Texas, in 1962, and grew up there. Mr. Reed Cagle has been married to his wife, Donna, for about 30 years. From 1999 until 2017, they lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with their son, before returning to Plano, Texas, in 2018. Charles Reed Cagle has been involved in various aspects of the energy industry over the last 35 years. Mr. Reed Cagle began his career as an associate with Kinlaw Oil Corporation in 1986. He left in 1996 to help build a tiny independent energy company in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Cagle started Heartland Energy, Inc. in 1997, which later became HEI, and served as President and CEO. He sought the assistance of operators, drilling contractors, geophysicists, engineers, service firms, and a broad variety of energy sector skills, following the advice of joint venture partners.
