“The YMCA Swimming Program provides a wonderful opportunity for 3rd grade students to learn and increase their skills in swimming, an important skill living so close to the beach with swimming pools. It is an exceptional program for both the amateur or reluctant swimmer in addition to those with more advanced skills. Elvira and her staff are skillful, enthusiastic, kind, considerate, and compassionate. They are very encouraging, yet sensitive, and acknowledge the needs of each individual student whether to simplify or challenge. Their ultimate goal for this program is to educate students about pool safety, while simultaneously instilling courage, confidence, and joy in the pool as a beginner or competitive swimmer. I highly recommend this program for all of the 3rd grade students throughout the Santa Ynez Valley.”
