FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK Mrs. Namrata Thakkar

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves. – William Shakespeare Ever since its inception in 2015, The Takshila Education and Charitable Trust Sanchalit Chanakya Vidhyapeeth-College of Commerce has striven to offer value-based quality education for the integral growth of our students. Being small in size a feeling of family and a sense of belonging pervades the faculty and student body and creates a close-knit familial culture. A student is not a mere number on the college register, but each one is known by name and face. The personal attention and care to the students, imparts a strong identity and a feeling of unity which is perceived and palpated even by a casual visitor to the college. The college management and faculty are serious about the all-round growth of the students and offer ample opportunities to build up their self confidence and self esteem and to inculcate in them a desire to contribute their mite in service to society, particularly the less privileged. The students are encouraged to approach the faculty for any problem they may face, as counselling is offered to them for personal or academic matters. Orientation programs are arranged to make the freshers feel at home and to integrate within the college culture and family spirit. Importance is also given to building spiritual, moral and social values as a foundation for personal integrity and commitment. In Chanakya Vidhyapeeth we live by the conviction that education is a preparation for life, not just a degree to secure a job or acquire a career. We aspire that students who leave the threshold of our college would be equipped to face the challenges of life and bring meaning to the lives of others as a consequence of it. CHANAKYA VIDHYAPEETH

“With a great vision of our college I got a chance to explore myself deeply. It is precisely for this reason that our college majorly focuses grately on articles related to Business themes,Stock Market and Social Media Marketing. The magazine plays an instrumental role in providing exposure to the students to develop written communication skills and command over language. It will surely add glitter to my three years of graduation journey .I do honestly acknowledge that our faculties are the guiding spirit behind this noble mission and has been a great source of encouragement and support throughout. The professors of our college have also greatly contributed throughout. Page 43

Chanakya Vidhyapeeth helps students in getting practical knowledge by arranging different seminars and workshops for betterment of students. They also take their students to industrial visits to gain proper knowledge which is very important in this dynamic world. The faculties are so kind and humbled, they always helped us in every path. They supported us and motivated us to participate more and more in youth festivals, college fest etc... They always guided us for our betterment. College life is incomplete without friends. Kartik Kasta (2017-20) One of the most interesting stages in life that gives you an opportunity to explore is the ‘college phase.’ We go through a lot of changes when we enter college. It poses a lot of challenges in front of you but Chanakya Vidhyapeeth taught me to socialize and form opinions of my own. 'Chanakya' has provided me with a number of opportunities to grow and explore my skills, and also other curriculum activities. I have always found a positive and healthy environment in college and faculties were highly helpful and supportive. Alumni Review

Chandni Thakkar ( 2017-20) College life is one of the most remarkable and lovable times of an individual's life. Chanakya Vidhyapeeth exposed us to whole new experiences which we always dreamt of experiencing after our school life. I loved everything about my college. Before talking about anything else firstly I am grateful for all the faculties I had with me during those 3 years. All the faculties were 24*7 available to support us to encourage us and motivate us in all the fields. Namrata ma'am as a principal have always guided us and supported us in all best possible ways. In my college life, along with studying, My friends and I enjoyed a lot of other things. We travelled to lots of places, had new experiences, and learned many new things. Our college's canteen was a remarkable place in my college life as whenever we got time, we used to chill in the canteen. Another thing I loved about my college life is Inter College Festival. As we know Every year, every college organizes an annual festival that lasts for 2-3 days and I feel really blessed that all our professors encouraged us to take part in such festival they never stopped us. I have participated in all festival for all three years, and I have got the best exposure and experience of my life through this festival. Every year, our college organizes a massive annual festival and all the students of our college participate in various events and enjoy a lot in this festival. Festival always filled the student’s life with excitement and buzz. It gave new opportunities to explore, compare and compete. It became a place where we took lots of pictures and made our memories. These festivals allowed us to socialize with new people and showcase our talent to everyone which built our confidence and will help us in future. Lastly the best memories we had in college life is field visits where we went out and had quality time with friends and teacher and learning experience. I had the best time of my life in college, and my college life memories will always make me happy.

Book : Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty

REVIEW CHANAKYA VIDHYAPEETH

Everyone needs to read “self-help” books for their inner growth and betterment. Recently, one of my teachers, Maitry ma'am recommended a book that talks about the mind and our relationship with it. Jay Shetty’s “Think Like A Monk” breaks down how to think like a monk in three parts and each part break into actions we can do to help us understand our mind, our purpose and most importantly our healing. There are exercises, life experience, quotes, and even a quiz at the end that can help you find the personality type that pairs you with a direction to find your purpose in life . I always found Jay's journey unique and appreciated his desire to explain big concepts with metaphors. Breaking things down is what we’re all about here and this book really shows you different perspectives until the concept finally clicks. I loved the book so much and now I wanted to take my time with it. .

STUDENT'S PERSPECTIVE HEER GADHVI “THE BEST THING YOU CAN WEAR IS CONFIDENCE”..... Self Confidence can be defined as belief in yourself and your abilities. Self Confidence is not taught by anyone but it is self developed.“Self confidence is like show up in every single moment like you are meant to be there”.Confidence is not ‘they will like me'. Confidence is ‘I will be fine if they don’t’. Without self confidence, there is nothing much you can do in the work place or your personal life.Having Self confidence makes you a stronger and happier person in life. Confidence helps us feel ready for life's experience. When we are confident we are more likely to move forward with people and opportunities. By filling up your tank with confidence, we will be able to break the cycle of over-thinking and quiet your inner critic. Building Confidence means taking small steps that leave a lasting sense of accomplishment. As your Confidence grows, you will find yourself more driven to stretch your abilities. “Umbrella can’t stop the rain but can make a stand in rain. Confidence may not bring success but gives us power to face any challenge in life. Confidence and hard work is the only medicine to kill a disease called failure. You know your strengths and weaknesses well, and have a positive view of yourself, that is self confidence. At the end,“It is Confidence in our bodies, mind, and spirits that allows us to keep looking for new adventures”.
