Dr. Babington was interviewed on KHON2 discussing Chaminade’s in-person Spring Commencement—sharing her excitement about celebrating our graduates and the safety protocols that will take place before and during the ceremonies. She was also featured in Pacific Business News discussing Chaminade’s new Economic Education Center for Excellence. Before the start of the new academic year, KITV interviewed Dr. Babington to learn more about Chaminade’s preparations.
Dr. Schroeder was named Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). His term is for two years. The IACBE Board of Commissioners is the independent accreditation decision-making body of the IACBE, and is responsible for determining the accreditation status of the business programs of its members.

Allison Jerome was featured on KHON2 news discussing Chaminade’s COVID vaccination incentives for all students— while the University didn't require students to be vaccinated, it was strongly encouraged. Students who provided proof of vaccination were entered into a drawing to win one of ten $500 cash prizes. In addition, for each student who provided proof of vaccination, Chaminade made a donation in their name to the Hawai'i Food Bank. Allison was also featured on Hawai'i News Now discussing the safety measures Chaminade is taking to ensure the health and wellbeing of the Chaminade community for the Fall Term.

Dr. Perrault received the John B. Phillips Award at the annual International GCxGC Symposium. The award recognizes earlycareer researchers making significant achievements and advancements in the field of two-dimensional gas chromatography. She also was named 2021 Outreach Volunteer of the Year by the American Chemical Society for her work to organize National Chemistry Week events in Hawai'i.

Dr. Smith was featured in Pacific Business News’ “Educating Hawaii’s Nursing Workforce of Tomorrow” and Hawaii Business Magazine's “Taking Care of Business” section, where she discussed the launch of Chaminade’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program and the significant need to provide complex, highquality health care in Hawai'i.
