Dr. Lynn Babington | PRESIDENT Dr. Babington was one of the panelists for Hawaii Business Magazine's CHANGE— Education: A Way Forward roundtable discussion where she discussed the importance of education, transformations in Hawai'i’s education system and dedicating time to students. She also joined Hawaii Business Magazine’s 2020 CEO of the Year panel, where they honored Micah Kāne, CEO and president of Hawai'i Community Foundation, as the 2020 CEO of the Year, and discussed how business and nonprofit leaders can help guide Hawai'i to a better future. Dr. Babington was featured on INSIGHTS on PBS Hawai'i where she discussed the impacts of COVID on high school seniors and higher education.

Dr. Dale Fryxell | DEAN, SCHOOL OF EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES Dr. Fryxell was appointed the new faculty athletics representative. He will serve as the liaison between the faculty and athletics department and will ensure academic integrity and the welfare of student-athletes. Dr. Fryxell, along with Dr. Hans Chun, director of graduate education leadership programs, was featured on Hawaii News Now’s HINow show where they discussed the launch of our new Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership for Adaptation and Change. The program’s first cohort began in July.
Dr. Guanlin Gao | ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND COMMUNICATION Dr. Gao was named the 2020 recipient of the Fr. John F. Bolin Excellence in Scholarship Award, which recognizes Chaminade faculty members who have contributed substantial scholarship to their field of study.

PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY Dr. Darren Iwamoto was featured on Hawaii News Now’s HINow show where he discussed the launch of a new online modality for the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in School Counseling program. The program’s first cohort began in April.
Allison Jerome | VICE PRESIDENT FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS AND DEAN OF STUDENTS Allison Jerome received the Region VI Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean/Vice President from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. The award recognizes sustained professional achievement in student affairs work, innovative response in meeting students’ needs, effectiveness in developing staff, and leadership in community and college or university affairs.
Dr. Christopher McNally | PROFESSOR, POLITICAL ECONOMY Dr. McNally was one of the panel experts who explored the U.S.’s relations with China during the annual Dr. N.H. Paul Chung Memorial Lecture presented by the Pacific Asian Management Institute and the University of Hawai'i Center for Chinese Studies.
Candice Sakuda | DIRECTOR, SERVICE-LEARNING Candice Sakuda received the Mario Pena Award from CFES Brilliant Pathways. The award recognizes an exceptional educator who helps develop and expand collaborations that increase college access and success for underserved youth.
