e are a husband and wife owner-operator team driving a straight truck for Panther Expedited Service’s Elite Division. We specialize in hauling Department of Defense freight, such as munitions, military armaments and equipment, that need heightened security. We’ve been running for Panther Expedited since we started in this specialized trucking niche more than five years ago. Our loads take us to all corners of the U.S. and Canada. Medford, Ore., is our home, which we don’t get to visit very often. The nature of the expediting business focuses on the eastern U.S., so we are out normally 60 to 90 days at a time. With a small herd of grandkids back in Oregon, we are all always looking forward to some quality home time. With so much time on the road, it is important for us to take care of ourselves and treat ourselves to the best, and that includes the best that the truck-stop business has to offer. When it’s time to head in for interstate truck stop services, our first choice is always Pilot and Flying J.
