High School

(Plan Years 1-5)

The proposed new High School will become a 9th through 12th grade building and would be located on one of two proposed building sites either to the south or the west of the existing Junior High school. Key elements in the new high school would include: n n n n n n n n n n

110,000 SF facility $16,500,000 proposed budget ($150/SF) Modern technology and multi-media capabilities Science labs with adequate space and latest technology Wheel chair access throughout the building 8,000 SF gymnasium Improved music and fine arts facilities Special needs classrooms Space for teacher work and prep areas Utilize existing Junior High industrial arts classroom and gymnasium as a practice gym Configured for future auditorium (to be funded by privately raised funds)

Middle School

(Plan Years 1-5)

The Middle School will become a 6th through 8th grade building and would be located in the existing High School building. Renovation of this building would commence upon the completion and occupancy of the new High School building. All renovation would be completed while the building is vacant. Projects planned for in the renovation of this building include, but are not limited to: n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n

New electrical system New HVAC system with the possibility of geothermal Web-based energy control systems New windows and doors New roof system Tuckpointing and sealing of exterior masonry Entirely remodeled classrooms with new finishes and fixtures New plumbing fixtures and valves Remodeled auditorium including finishes and seating Expanded kitchen facility Security and card access system New technology wiring High efficiency lighting Improved stairwells and fire safety measures Removal of portable units
