A free C&W Staff Shuttle goes between the hospital campus and the King Edward SkyTrain Station - Schedule

• Carshare Programs - EVO vehicles can be found parked in close proximity to the hospital campus in dedicated parking areas.

• Parking - All parking onsite is pay parking, effective 24 hours a day and is available on a first-come basis.

Eating Facilities

SHY Cafeteria (SHY Building) | Starbucks (Lobby - Ambulatory Care) | Tim Hortons (Lobby - BC Women’s Hospital) | Second Cup (Lobby - BC Children’s Hospital)

Within walking distance is the King Edward shopping mall (990 West King Edward Avenue), which includes a Safeway and a number of restaurants.

The following quiet spaces are dedicated for studying. Built-in study carrels are also available in various BCCHR locations. Check with your research team for more information about available spaces.

David Hardwick Research Room - Room 3051, BCCHR

Located in BCCHR, the David Hardwick Research Room includes a study room and a group meeting room. The study room is pass-protected; if you don’t have access, contact reseduc@bcchr.ca

Study & Learning Commons - Room F4, SHY

Located in BC Children’s Hospital, the Study & Learning Commons includes a large study room, computer room, group meeting rooms and a number of library services.

The quickest route from BCCHR is through the North Entrance of Children’s Hospital. Follow the corridor and veer left at the junction (past the cafeteria). Continue down the corridor following the signs for “A to L, Women’s Health Centre”. At the intersection take the elevators to the 4th floor. The space is on the left (past the red couches).
