eep Caerphilly Mountain Green is presently working with other local campaign groups and individuals who are pressing for the withdrawal of the deposit LDP. Everyone involved is committed to highlighting the importance of the local countryside to Caerphilly residents, and to raising general awareness of the issues which we consider to render the plan unsound in planning terms. One particular area of concern identified by the Welsh Government is the allocation of over 13,500 homes, more than double the forecasted 5650 needed in the next 15 years. If you would like to learn lea more about the different groups and how we are working together to protect our countryside for the benefit of the whole community, please look out for us at Bedwas Rocks on the 25th June.

As part of our fundraising activity we will be producing and selling a 2017 calendar. We are holding a photo competition and everyone is invited to email photos to keepcaerphillyg keepcaerphillygreen@gmail.com by 31st August. All photos must have been taken in the Nant-y-Calch fields or the Warren and should be no larger than 7mb.
