It is located in the Midway Geyser Basin with a dazzling azure blue center creating contrast with the outer edges during different seasons. Old Faithful - Old Faithful was named by the 1870 Washburn Expedition and at one time referred to as “Eternity’s Timepiece” because of its consistent eruptions.
