Teacher research fellowship etc. Such facilities are available for the development of the faculty.  Applications for research grants for major and minor projects are encouraged, recommended and forwarded. The number of such projects completed and ongoing is presented in criterion III (3.1.5). The list of staff members who have availed study leave on FIP and the number of staff who have been awarded Ph.D. Programme, travel grant from UGC and other agencies is also presented in the same criterion.  The staff members are motivated and encouraged to participate in National, International Conferences/ Workshops /Seminars (within and outside India).  The institution also conducts number of seminars, workshops and special lectures for the benefit of its faculty and students.  Management offers financial assistance whenever a regional or National seminar/workshop is planned by any department and whenever there is a delay in receiving fund from an external agency. 2.4.5 Give the number of faculty who received awards / recognition at the state, national and international level for excellence in teaching during the last four years. Enunciate how the institutional culture and environment contributed to such performance/achievement of the faculty. Dr. D. Jeevana Sri, Reader, Department of Sanskrit received Best Thesis Award (2008), Best Teacher Award (2010), Bharat Vidya Shiromani Award (2011), Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal Award (2011), Eminent Educationist Award (2011). The college provides necessary infrastructure and other required support to encourage teachers to excel in their teaching. 2.4.6 Has the institution introduced evaluation of teachers by the students and external Peers? If yes, how is the evaluation used for improving the quality of the teaching-learning process?  Self-designed formats are prepared to evaluate teachers.  The feedback is systematically analyzed, conclusions are drawn, discussed in staff council meetings and corrective measures are initiated.  The head of the institution takes feedback of the teachers from the students.  At the end of every academic year students give feedback of individual faculty members on their teaching skills on a prescribed format.  Based on such feed backs the principal advises the concerned teachers as how best they can improve the quality of their teaching.
