Army NCC Cadet, I. Govinda Rajulu, II B.A. attended the Republic Day parade on 26-01-2011 in Secunderabad. Five Army cadets attended Tracking Expedition in Kerala state. T.S. Manohar, Army cadet, participated in All India National Integration Camp at West Bengal. The Naval NCC Cadets, PVMD Prakash, II BSc (MPC), V. Lavanya, I B.Com. were selected and attended All India Nau Sainik Camp, where competitions in different events like firing, boat pulling, boat sailing, semaphore were conducted at all India level, INS Circars, Naval Base, Visakhapatnam. NCC cadets participated in the following social service activities: Pulse polio programme, AIDS Awareness Rally, Anti-leprosy Rally, Anticancer Campaign, Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantation, Adult Education Programme etc. K. Murali Krishna of III B.Com, R.No.4426, NSS volunteer, was selected and participated in the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi on 26th January, 2011. Academic Year: 2011-12 Performance in Sports activities Men Lawn Tennis Team secured 3rd place in Andhra University InterCollegiate Tournament held at SRK Engineering College, Bhimavaram, West Godavari district, organized during 1st to 3rd October, 2011. Hand Ball (Men) Team secured 2nd place in Andhra University, InterCollegiate cum University selections Tournament held at Dr. L.B. College, Visakhapatnam, during 12th to 15th November, 2011. Men Table Tennis Team secured 1st place in Andhra University C-Zone InterCollegiate Tournament during 11th to 13th January, 2012 held at S.K.V.T. College, Rajahmundry. Basket Ball Team (Men) secured 2nd place in Andhra University C-Zone InterCollegiate Tournament held at SKVT College, Rajahmundry, organized during 13th to 15th January, 2012. G. Subramanyam, Final MBA, R.No.80 secured Gold Medal in South Zone Championships – 2011 held at Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu state on 30th & 31st July, 2011. Vanum Lavanya, II B.Com, R.No.1577, secured Gold Medal in Third South India Quick Boxing Champion for the year 2011 held at Chennai. The following sports persons secured medals in National Meet held at Vijayawada from 2nd to 4th December, 2011. N. Bheema Sankaram First MBA secured Gold Medal in 80 Kg Division. K. Kiran Kumar, First MBA, secured Silver Medal in 80 Kg Division. B. Aditya, II B.Com, R.No.1507, secured Silver Medal in 52 Kg Division.
