Get ready to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori! Māori Language Week is coming up soon and we invite you to participate with us. During the week our libraries will have fun activities and resources available for you. Whether you choose to listen, speak, learn, play, read, or sing in te reo, we are happy to cheer you on no matter where you are at on your learning journey. You can get a head start by looking through some ideas of ways to engage. Huatau | Ideas - Te Rangaihi Reo Māori On 14 September join the library and others around the world during the Māori Language Moment and help set a world record for people speaking and celebrating an endangered, Indigenous language. Participation can mean anything, whether you greet someone with 'kia ora', listen to a waiata, or learn your coffee order.
