Birds caged during the time of their usual migration behave anxiously. The phenomenon is known as zugenruhe. Caged in one home when you belong in two. So here are my friend Emily’s drawings. Family keepsakes. I photographed, we talked, both re-assembling ourselves over long walks on long days.
