Turn off your Acer laptop if already turned on and flip the unit over. Withdraw the battery of your laptop after opening the back cover. Turn back the laptop and open the cover. Locate the area where the button of keyboard will normally go. Confirm if the plastic retaining clip is still present inside the pit. Check the clip properly if it separated off the keyboard along with the button. Set the clip inside the pit using a pair of tweezers.

Place the key back onto the plastic clip. Push it down until it sets well into its place. Flip the system once again to check if there are more keys which are not functioning properly. Unscrew the three screws which are on the left side of the case holding the keyboard to its place. Turn over the laptop to see the LCD screen. Bring the thin strip upward using a flat-head screwdriver and pull it towards yourself to separate if from the system. Move the keyboard to upward until the long ribbon cable appears to you. Unplug it from the port on the motherboard and then pull it off the case. Spray the inside of the keys with canned air to clear any dust. Screw the keyboard into its place and also the battery back to its place.
