Celebrate two generations of brilliant Cuban musicians when Arturo Sandoval and Pedrito Martinez share a double bill at Berklee Performance Center.
Grammy award-winning trumpeter Arturo Sandoval is an undisputed legend. A protégé of Dizzy Gillespie, who helped him defect from Cuba, Sandoval redefined the sound of Cuban jazz as a founding member of Irakere. He is also a classically trained trumpeter who has appeared with symphony orchestra's and premiered John Williams' Trumpet Concerto.

Master percussionist Pedrito Martinez, born in Havana, is a specialist in rumba and Afro-Cuban percussion. He brings his folkloric music to partnerships with musicians from around the world, among them Wynton Marsalis, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, Eddie Palmieri, and Paquito D’Rivera.
