On the 8th and 9th of October was celebrates the 6th version of the “Rock competition of the German schools” at the German school San Felipe. The ´Rockfest’ is a new tradition of the German schools in Chile.It’s a really good celebration in which teenagers of all the country meet and do what they most love: Music. All the bands had been rehearsing for this event since the beginning of the year and all the different students were very excited for taking part on it.

Michelle Bachelet's landmark education reform passed its first big hurdle on Tuesday after the Lower House approved the bill and sent it on to the Senate.“There is no doubt about it, today is important,because this is one of Bachelet`s emblematic projects. It has left the lower house and is on its way to the Senate, where we expect to discuss it with all the depth that is needed” said the Education Minister, Nicolas Eyzaguirre.

Letters to the Editor Expensive food! I'm really worried about how expensive the canteen food is getting nowadays. Every year prices are becoming more and more expensive. I remember when I was in 1st grade, food cost $1000 pesos per meal. Nowadays it costs $2.000.! Maybe prices are going to get more expensive in the coming years. Unaffordable Books Dear Editor, Your section about "The best book" published last week was amazing! But when I went to the bookshop, I realized that the book was too expensive! I didn't know what to do because I really wanted that book!. So, it made me think about people who do not like reading at all. How can we promote reading to young people if books are expensive? Reading is cool and fun! You can even imagine everything that is happening in each and every story. The only problem here is that most people don't like spending too much money on books that they might be reading only once. I wonder what It can be done in order to make them affordable. Thanks

Dear Editor, I want to share my insights about the parking ticket at the mall. If you lose your ticket there, you will have to pay $7.000 pesos. It's too expensive! The mall has security cameras and they know exactly when you get into the mall. So, if they know that, and if someone loses her their parking ticket, they should not charge you with $7000 pesos.

Skipping the line Being Cheated by again? a Telephone Dear Editor, Company I want to share my insights about people who always skip the line. I just hate the idea of seeing this all the time. For me, these people don't have any respect for the other who have to queue and wait until their turn comes. It's really annoying .
I don't agree with this situation because glaciers are really important for the ecosystem. They provide the clear water we have every morning and help our plants to grow. If they keep destroying them, The Aconcagua Valley will start to have many problems.

For the last six years the government has been saying that there will be a new highway in San Felipe, which will improve the connectivity among towns and cities. The problem is that it hasn't been finished yet. The new highway is a real need. It will improve most of the traffic jams we have nowadays. Letters to the Editor Ugly Graffits Dear Editor, I want to complain about the graffitis. They are ugly! I think that graffiti is a kind of vandalism and ruins the city. If I were the mayor, I would punish all the graffitiers. Most people have to clean and paint their houses and walls, like my grandmother does. Why does she have to do that? When a city has too many graffitiers, it looks like a rubbish can! Besides, the sprays destroy the Ozone layer.

In my opinion, books are too expensive and I don't understand how schools are trying to encourage reading in your free time. Most books cost the same as a videogame. For example, I can't afford the amount of money in books that I read per month. So, I have to read online which is not good for your health as you spend too many hours in front of the screen.
I think that you must publish a notice about robotic advance. I mean, is a machine going to steal my job? Nowadays, robots and machines can do simple things as cooking or cleaning the house and even being a very useful element on a surgeon. I want to say that robots today can make very important things. In the first industrial revolution, machines were seen as an enemy of the job because it lowered the salaries of the people of that century. But at that time, they marched and protest for being replaced by machines. So, why don't we do the same now?
I just want people to be aware of this problem.
I think the solution for this is to get rid of taxes or at least, reduce the percentage that is applied to books. Then, people can read more.

The familiar business of heist in Colorado Springs. Braden butson, Nicolas Butson and their father Brock Butson were arrested and taken into the Criminal Justice center. They are accused for a crime spree started in May . The brother was the robber and the father led the group. They have committed crime for at least eight times (a total of eight bank have been robbed).
What initially has confused Colorado Springs Police regarding the heist was that they thought they were searching for a serial bank robber, meanwhile the description of the suspect stayed always the same. However, his ideas were changing as soon as the crimes were reported. The Butson brothers are about to be sentenced in the 12th district of the colorado state judicial branch on sept 16.

Vandalism: Burning trucks hits the South again. Unknown people burned truck machines that were used to build the bridge in Alto Bio Bio. Two machines were found burned on Wednesday in the construction of a mini central called “ Mirador” at alto Bio Bio. The mayor Rodrigo Bascuñan, of the 4th police station of Santa Barbara said that 2 machines were found burned and next to them there was a allusive canvas to the resistance to the installation of a new energy project on this area. At the same time, there have been some bombs in Santiago. There have been registered a number of 198 bombs since 2005. The main targets are the banks, then the police station. 'Gunpowder' is mostly used within these element. 41% of the events usually happened was between 11 pm and 1 am.

Graffiti at Metro Santiago The hoodies had to switch the fire alarm on and when the train got slowly, they got down and sprayed his firms (OPIO, KARMA, 3HC). People started looking with great surprise and suddenly the hoodies started to spray the train. People didn’t know what to do. Therefore, they just called the police... but it was too late. The hoodies had run away and anyone was able to see their faces. It was the perfect crime. The train damage is going to cost $2.500.000 pesos.

New Skate park in Huechuraba It has a good level and it was designed by Plan Rampla. About two weeks ago the new skate park of Huechuraba was designed. The project was created a year ago when the skaters of Huechuraba started thinking that they don’t have any place to practice their discipline. Therefore,some people started planning a meeting with the mayor at the county hall. It was accepted as a good plan. As a result, today the skate park is available for anyone who wants to start practicing this dicipline. It has some hand rails and the street is great. Plan Rampla builds the best skate parks in Chile.
Hip-Hop in Chile The new hip-hop school in Chile In the 90’s Chile started with the new way of United States Hip Hop. This is a Culture which is a mix of Break dance (B-Boys), Rap and Graffiti. In Chile, there are great exponents of these culture. One of them is the greatest rapper CHR, who has been well known since 1998. In the Graffiti area, we have people like Alapinta crew, and in Santiago, the graffitier Under. Alapinta is from Villarrica, in the south of Chile. They have painted in many different places. The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This is a story about a teenager who wakes up inside an elevator, but he doesn’t remember anything except his name. The place where the elevator arrives is in the middle of a maze. There lives a group of teenagers but they are all boys. But someone has put them in that maze, so they will try to find out who did it. The book is full of mystery and excitement. It's given just 4 stars as it's the end of the trilogy, it gets so boring and disappointed. Besides, the characters have to face so many things to get the truth and their freedom that its end can’t be compared with the rest of the books.
The Mortal Instruments By Cassandra Clare Clary, like every weekend went out with her friend Simon too one of the most popular discotheque of New York (pandemónium). There, very different kind of people can be found. When she was inside, she saw a very attractive boy, with blue hair. After a while she witnessed his death, at the hands of three teenagers with strange tattoos all over their bodies. Since that day her destiny was linked to the shadow hunters. It's given 5 stars because this book has the perfect mix between love, adventure and fiction, and during the plot it keeps you complete obsessed with the story.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins This book is about Katniss Everdeen, a girl who lives on the District 12. Every year, Panem has a ceremony called “The Hunger Games”. At this, every distric will send a girl and boy between 12 and 18 years as a tribute, and hey will fight to death. The plot of this book is so exciting, especially at the games, but this book is the first part of a trilogy, but you can read only this book because it has nothing to do with the other books. Rate: 4 Stars.
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl This book is about the story of Ethan Wate. He lives in Gatlin, a little town in the USA where nothing ever happens. This is until Lena Duchannes, a very mysterious girl,arrives at Gatlin. But Lena is not a normal person. She is a caster. Since then, strange things starts to happen. The character of Ethan is perfect, he is like the guy who everyone wants to be with, and Lena is really mysterious, she keeps a lot of secrets, but sometimes the book turns a little boring. This book is part of a saga which has 4 books: Beautiful Creatures, Beautiful Darkness, Beautiful Chaos and Beautiful Redemption. Rate: 3 Stars.

Review: ‘Catching Fire, the movie’
Divergent by Veronica Roth It’s a fantasy story that has many aspects of love and action. It’s the perfect book for someone that like the ‘Hush, hush’ and ‘The Hunger Games’ saga. The plot is really entertaining and it keeps you all the time paying attention. Divergent became a best seller of the ‘New York Times List’ and it has fans in the entire world. There is a movie too and it is too successful like the book. It is a really incredible book, because it has all what a person is looking for in a great story. Rate: 5 stars
Pretty Little Liars By Sarah Shepard Became the best friends of Alison (The bee queen of the Rosewood Day) was the most incredible thing that could happened to Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily. Alison was funny, smart, popular, compressive and the most beautiful of the school. All the boys wanted to be with her and all the girls wanted to be her. It was amazing to be part of her group… but it was the hell too. Alison was the most manipulator person they have ever known. The four teenagers became witnesses of all the abuse committed by Alison. But to be popular is better than this, or not? All change the night that the school’s bee queen disappeared leaving the school and the four girls.
‘Catching Fire’ is a really interesting movie based on the book with the same name writhed by Susanne Collins, which one is the second of the saga ‘The Hunger Games’. The movie is really entertaining and the actors are perfect for their roles. In the plot, you can find action, love, danger and mystery. It is very similar as the book but the emotions and the music makes it amazing. ‘Catching Fire’ is a very good movie because when people start watching it for first time, they really have a good time and cannot take on their eyes off the screen.
