PERRYVILLE - May 4th was another season meet for Rising Sun and Perryville track. Hosted at Perryville, the meet contained athletes from Fallston, Rising Sun, and Perryville. It was another successful meet for all teams! On the boys side of the meet, Perryville won with 87.5 points, with Rising Sun coming in second with 76.17 points. On the girls side, Rising Sun won with 114.5 points and Perryville came in third with 22 points. One of the highlights of the meet were the fun relays that were run by Perryville and Rising Sun. In the boys 4x100, both Perryville and Rising Sun put together "throwers relays." Perryville's throwers relay of Thomas Christian, Dakota Van Der Werff, Cameron Malone, and Cesko Ohwevwo finished fourth followed by Rising Sun's throwers relay of Mason Testerman, Austin Horton, Garrett Rees, and Luke Forsmark in fifth. Rising Sun's A team of Travis Bare, Josh Burke, Bryce Ritchings, and Carl Williams-Cohen won the event. In the boy's 4x400, Perryville put together multiple teams based on grades. The Perryville senior team of Matt Grahe, Tayvin Griffin, Connor Racine, and Jaimere Guy won the 4x400, narrowly defeating the Perryville junior team of Rocky Ramsland, Ty Stiffler, Andrew Hernandez, and Sydney Phillips.

The Perryville freshman team of Logan Shaw, Josiah Rose, Deyshawn Henderson, and Brady Martin placed fourth. There was also some fun in the girl's relays! In the girl's 4x400, Rising Sun put together a "Katelyn 4x4" of athletes Kaitlyn Martin, Kaitlin Perry, Katelyn Lacey, and Katelynn (Katie) Callaghan. The team finished second behind Rising Sun's other 4x400 team of Alyssa McCall, Isabella Chavis, Emily Wishart, and Amanda Callaghan. Rising Sun also entered three girls 4x200 teams into the meet and swept the relay! First place came to the team of Kaitlyn Martin, Amanda Callaghan, Maddi Cleary, and Laynee Eyman. Second place was to the girl's throwers relay of Sophia Amoretti, Izzy Severson, Mary McCardell, and Georgia Mercer. Third place went to the team of Olivia Watson, Carley England, Grace Murr, and Abby Wishart. The Rising Sun boys also swept the 4x200, with first place going to the team of Travis Bare, Josh Burke, Bryce Ritchings, and Corey Dietz, and second place going to the team of Richie DiPilla, Landon Cook, Nate Hornberger, and Hayden Graham. Cecil County runners won many events. In boy's events, Rocky Ramsland of Perryville won the 100 and the Long Jump, Josh Burke of Rising Sun won the 200, Jaimere Guy of Perryville won the 400, Brady Martin of Perryville won the
