And that’s just a few of the highlights of this modern career and technical education training facility. “This new facility was designed to shake off the stigma of dark, dingy labs and modernize the facilities used to train students to match the highly technical industry standards today,” said NIC Vice President for Finance and Business Affairs Chris Martin. The new facility not only includes updated lab spaces that had not changed in 40 years, it also increases capacity for training students. NIC’s industry partners have indicated their need for an increased skilled workforce. The new NIC Parker Technical Education Center doubled capacity in many of the programs moving to the new facility, helping to meet the workforce demand.
