HOLA! I am excited to share in these pages some projects that I enjoyed creating and show a little bit of my personality through my style. Let me briey introduce myself. I am a young designer molded-in Mexico and graduated from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with a Bachelor degree in Industrial Design. I had the opportunity to live in another country and open myself to a different culture, environment, and people.

Central Library University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. 2018

Inside of me, there is a creativity that resembles a kid who always wants to create and explore new ideas. I am focused on prototyping and molding which let me understand the functionality and purpose of things. Basically, I am a maker person who enjoys designing, building, and crafting with my hands.

HOLA! I am a curious industrial designer in search of everything that allows me to grow and inspire myself, no matter how small it is. I am intrigued by how things work and how they are made. Essentially, I like to improvise solutions using simple elements and tools. I am a maker person immersed in prototyping and modeling. As a result, I did my little Makerspace to build all the crazy ideas in my head. I strongly believe in the use of design to inspire others and my goal is to find the best part of me so I can impact people´s lives. I´m looking forward to start working with people to share our experiences and create amazing things.

MODELS

SMALL DRAWER WRENCH PROP This piece is a replica of a wrench. Its purpose is purely aesthetic. IT will not be able to tighten a nut as it is made from cardboard, plaster, and spray painted. Balsa Wood

This jewelry box is a replica of antique furniture and its intention is to store tiny things. It has three drawers that open and close. The final details were jewelry elements to make it more realistic.

avocado car

07

This model represents the concept car that competed in A thematic-DOWNHILL car race. ALL CARS MUST BE powered ONLY by the strength of a push and the gravity of the hill. THE AVOCADO WAS A homemade CAR FOR TWO PEOPLE WITH STEERING AND functional brakes.

In collaboration with: Samara Rocha and The Rocha´s Family

This tricycle is ideal for going to the park. Its mechanism allows the user to fold and transport it easily.

I participated with my partners in the conceptual design, 3D modeling, and user research but I had more influence on the elaboration of the scale model whose main purpose was to check the mechanisms and functionality.

Samara Rocha proposed the concept and sponsored it. I was in charge of developing the project, designing the frame car, selecting the materials, driving and manufacturing the body car together with the rest of the Rocha family.

In the Red Bull Soap Box race, the cars don't have an engine and, in addition to speed, creativity and originality are necessary. The Avocado car competed with 50 other cars being one of the most applauded by the attendees.

HOME DECOR Retro SHELF

POPSICLE BAG

This shelf is ideal for miniature things. It´s made out of pinewood sheets with a clear oil finish.

Calendar

This bag is made out of popsicle sticks from the store "Seattle Pops". They gave away a lot of non-use defective popsicle sticks and I glue them together in sheets. To achieve the curves, MDF profiles were used to press, join, and mold the plywood. Each layer was bonded with white glue.

Turn the gear every day and when the month is over start over again.

Giant Gummy bears

KEATON MASK The Keaton mask is an item in "The legend of Zelda" series. The story behind the mask inspired me to replicate it. In the video game, the character Kafei wears a mask to keep his identity hidden. He was engaged but suddenly was turned into a child by the possessed Skull Kid who was wearing "The Mayorask mask"

Kitsune MASK The Kitsune mask is referred to as a fox mask, and it is a special mask worn by the Japanese on special festivals for fun. There are different shapes, colors, and sizes and for this type, I took inspiration from some of them.

This is the beginning of a series of Giant ceramic Gummy bears. Each one will be the same size (20 cm tall) but with a different styles and concepts. The first one is an Alebrije-skull gummy bear and the second is completely silver. FRANCO

CERAMIC PROJECTS SKULLS Every year, in November I have the tradition of DECORATING a skull for the holiday "DAY OF DEATH". It began from the annual contest at college "Paint your skull" and since then I think about a thematic to portray.

16 The concept of this skull comes from the popular sugar skull candies eaten on the holiday "day of death" in MĂŠxico. White beads were used to resemble the sugar.

This skull is inspired by my mother's obsession with collecting watermelon decorations. Her favorite song is written at the back of the skull.

For this skull, I captured a snake winding itself through holes in the head in reference to those intricate and elusive thoughts in our mind.

In 2015, It won the second place in the contest. This skull features a wax brain inserted at the back to function as a candle and its surrounded by marigold flowers that are traditional on "Day of death" day.

After living in Seattle for a year, this skull reflects the characteristic rainy days of this city.

JEWELRY DESIGN PROJECT

Geminis was a startup company project in incubation that focused on multifunctional jewelry. The jewelry pieces were meant to be creative, exploring a second functionality. In collaboration with: Alan Cruz, Itzel Morales, Brenda Chavero and Julieta Hernรกndez.

Musician collection

All the pieces included the second function of saving a guitar pick.

Its purpose was to represent those utensils used in the kitchen like the rolling pin, measuring spoons or the scale. 3D Models

JEWELRY DESIGN PROJECT

Geminis pieces should have another function or purpose other than serving as an accesory. In the first stage, the team started to design collections inspired by the passions and hobbyes of people in their daily life.

sketcher collection

Ruler ring: incorporates a graduated ruler with a 30-degree angle.

Ruler bracelet: incorporates a graduated ruler with a 45-degree angle.

The pieces reflect the basic functions of tools used in the art of drawing as the ruler or the compass.

Crayon ring: houses a piece of crayon.

Piece of paper: keep an emergency paper or post-it inside.

Orbit bracelet: make perfect circles.

My main participation in this great proyect involved the brainstorming of ideas and developing of concepts, specially for the sketchers collection. I contribute in the prototyping process and fabrication of the final jewelry pieces. Finally I generated the visuals elements for each collection and built the jewelry display stand.

Original 3D painting 1.20 x .90 m

Fiber glass plate 1 Part silicone rubber Mold

The owner of Quinta Bella Hotel built new guest rooms and his intention was to decorate all the rooms with the same sea turtle paint.

2-Part mold Head

The main goal was to make the new sea turtles with materials that resist the beach weather conditions. The resin and fiberglass would work better than the original Mdf plywood paints. The entire body and frame of the paint were adapted to make a one-part mold, leaving the head separately.

E2-SCOOTER

In collaboration with: Industrial design team: Aidhe Yazmin, Lariza Morales, Renata Calva, Roberto Iturbide, and Cecilia Franco. Mechatronic engineer team: Carlos A. Lรณpez, Pablo A. Lechuga and Sergio Aguilera

Personal mobility is a serious problem in big cities due to urbanization and the rise of the population. E2 Scooter allows the user to move efficiently by its dual-modality and the compact mode to store it

The purpose was to design a mobility device concept that gives the user the opportunity to move small distances efficiency around the city. The main characteristic of E2 Scooter is an alternative system capable of using the vehicle as electric or manual The project was accomplish by two teams. The designers took the lead of the concept design, (sketching, modeling, and prototyping) and the research (user, market and existing solutions). The mechatronic team covered the engineering, mechanical and structure design of the selected concept involving materials, motor, breaks, energy system, speed control, direction system and software codification.

My role in this project was sketching differents concepts, investigating the user, and elaborating the 1:1 cardboard mock-up of the Scooter to analyze the ergonomics.
