Open Access publication - questions researchers ask What is Open Access? Why should I make my research available as Open Access? What does all this cost, and where’s the money coming from? I’ve heard Open Access is required for the REF – is this true? Where can I get help with all this?

Post-2014 REF and Open Access If accepted for publication after 1 April 2016‌ Journal article or conference proceeding with an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN)

To pay or not to pay? An example… Global Change Biology (3rd in Web of Science Impact Factor table for Environmental Science) Subscription - $7545 per annum OA fee - $4000 per article But… possible to deposit Accepted Manuscript in PURE for no cost (12 month embargo)
