DOPPIO PODIO PER EDIL CRIS A SILVERSTONE 06/05/2007 Doppio podio all’esordio del FIA GT 2007 per il Racing Team Edil Cris. Dopo il quarto posto in qualifica di Ruberti-Pasini e il sesto di Cressoni-Rugolo, le due F430 del team lombardo hanno concluso a Silverstone al secondo e al terzo posto. Un risultato di assoluto rilievo, considerando che per Michele Rugolo la gara inglese rappresentava la prima opportunità per prendere confidenza con la Ferrari F430 e che il pilota titolare Raffaele Giammaria era assente, sostituito per l’occasione da Damien Pasini.

DOUBLE PODIUM FOR EDIL CRIS AT SILVERSTONE 06/05/2007 Double podium for Racing Team Edil Cris in the debut of the 2007 FIA GT. After the fourth place scored by Ruberti-Pasini and the sixth of Cressoni-Rugolo in qualify, the two F430 of the Italian team concluded, respectively, with the second and third absolute place. This is a very important result, especially considering that Michele Rugolo had his first acquaintance with a Ferrari F430 in this occasion and that the official driver Raffaele Giammaria did not take part to this race and was substituted by Damien Pasini.

WEEKEND NERO PER IL RACING TEAM EDIL CRIS 20/05/2007 Il circuito cittadino di Bucarest non ha sicuramente portato fortuna al Racing Team Edil Cris. Un problema al motore emerso nelle prove libere ha costretto l’equipaggio Ruberti-Mugelli a saltare la qualificha e a partire dal fondo di una gara durata per loro lo spazio di tre giri. Ruberti è stato infatti vittima di una violenta uscita di pista: nessuna conseguenza grave per il pilota, mentre la sua Ferrari F430 è apparsa subito seriamente danneggiata. Rugolo-Cressoni hanno invece concluso al sesto posto. Il prossimo appuntamento del campionato FIA GT è in programma il 24 Giugno sul circuito di Monza.

BLACK WEEKEND AT BUCAREST 20/05/2007 Unlucky weekend for Edil Cris Racing Team at Bucarest. An engine problem forced the crew Ruberti-Mugelli to skip qualify and to start the race from the back of the grid. The race itself lasted three laps only for them. Ruberti was subjected to a violent off track exit: no consequences for the Italian driver but his Ferrari F430 was badly damaged. The couple Rugolo-Cressoni obtained the sixth final place instead. The next round of FIA GT will be on stage the 24th of June on the Italian track of Monza.

POLE E PODIO PER EDIL CRIS A MONZA 24/06/2007 Promesse della vigilia mantenute per il Racing Team Edil Cris nella gara di casa del Campionato FIA GT, conclusa da poco sul circuito di Monza. Nelle prove ufficiali di ieri Paolo Ruberti aveva conquistato una fantastica pole position con il tempo di 1:50.959, mentre Michele Rugolo aveva stabilito il sesto tempo (1:51.718). Oggi, in gara, la Ferrari F430 numero 52 di RubertiPasini ha occupato stabilmente le prime posizioni, concludendo terza sotto la bandiera a scacchi. I piloti del team bergamasco sono tornati così sul podio dopo la parentesi negativa di Bucarest. A punti anche l’altra Ferrari F430 di Rugolo-Cressoni, quinta al traguardo. Il prossimo appuntamento del FIA GT è in programma il prossimo 8 Luglio sul circuito tedesco di Oschersleben.

POLE AND PODIUM FOR EDIL CRIS AT MONZA 24/06/2007 Promises kept by Edil Cris Racing Team at the home track of Monza in the FIA GT Championship. In qualifying Paolo Ruberti obtained an amazing pole position with a lap time of 1:50.959, while Michele Rugolo scored the sixth best time (1:51.718). In todayÂ´s race, the number 52 Ferrari F430 driven by the crew Ruberti-Pasini was constantly running on top positions, concluding third under the chequered flag. In this way the crew got back on the podium after the negative episode of Bucarest. The other Ferrari driven by Rugolo-Cressoni obtained some points too, achieving the fifth final position. Next race in the FIA GT Championship next 8 July at the German track of Oschersleben.

Ritiro invece per Cressoni-Rugolo, penalizzati nelle prime fasi di gara da una perdita di pressione ad un pneumatico che ha costretto la Ferrari F430 numero 53 ad una sosta ai box non prevista dalla strategia di gara. Successivamente, nel corso del secondo stint, la rottura del semiasse ha obbligato Michele Rugolo al definitivo ritiro.

Retirement for Cressoni-Rugolo instead, penalized by a tyre pressure loss during initial stages of the race that forced the number 53 F430 Ferrari to a unscheduled pit stop. Afterwards, during the second stint, a failure to one of the axle shafts forced Michele Rugolo to the final retirement.

Il Racing Team Edil Cris ha portato a termine la prima 24 ore della sua storia. Sul celebre tracciato di Spa-Francorchamps, teatro della sesta prova del campionato FIA GT, l´equipaggio Ruberti/Cressoni/ Pasini/Casè ha chiuso al quinto posto sotto la bandiera scacchi una edizione ricca di colpi di scena, dove la pioggia caduta abbondantemente sulle Ardenne ha variato più volte la classifica. Terzi in qualifica, i piloti hanno ricoperto costantemente le prime posizioni in classe GT2. Dopo circa quattordici ore di gara la loro Ferrari F430 è stata costretta ad una sosta ai box non prevista, a causa di un problema al tergilunotto, indispensabile data la pioggia battente, risolto nell´arco di sei giri. Un ulteriore stop si è reso necessario qualche ora più tardi, per sostituire il fondo delle vettura danneggiato dei passaggi sui cordoli, mentre un ultimo intervento è stato effettuato dagli uomini della squadra nel finale, per riparare ai danni dovuti ad un contatto con una Maserati mentre era al volante Matteo Cressoni.

The Racing Team Edil Cris concluded the first 24h race of its history. The crew Ruberti/Cressoni/Pasini/Cas concluded in fifth position under the chequered flag in a full-of-twists edition of the race, whereby the abundant rain changed several times the classification on the legendary track of Spa-Francorchamps, stage of the sixth round of the FIA GT championship. Third in qualifying, Edil Cris drivers often held the first positions of GT2 class. After about 14 hours of race, their F430 Ferrari was forced to an unscheduled pit stop six laps long, due to fix a problem to the rear window brush, indispensable in those heavy rain conditions. A few hours later another stop has been necessary to change the bottom of the car that was damaged due to kerbs, finally a last pit stop was performed by mechanics to fix the problems caused by an accident with a Maserati during the final stages of the race, when Matteo Cressoni was driving.

PNEUMATICI FATALI AD ADRIA 08/09/2007 Il weekend di Adria si Ă¨ concluso in modo inatteso per il Racing Team Edil Cris. La prima fila nelle qualifiche di ieri aveva infuso grande ottimismo nella squadra, che vedeva possibile un risultato di prestigio. La gara invece ha proposto un copione diverso, con le due Ferrari F430 afflitte da profondi problemi agli pneumatici. Dopo i primi giri al comando, i rilievi cronometrici sono sensibilmente peggiorati per entrambe le vetture nellÂ´arco di poche tornate. Dopo il cambio gomme ai pit-stop la curva di degrado ha seguito lo stesso andamento, ponendo fine ad ogni ambizione del team. Sotto la bandiera a scacchi Cressoni-Mediani hanno concluso settimi, seguiti da Ruberti-Pasini.

FATAL TYRES AT ADRIA 08/09/2007 AdriaÂ´s weekend did not have the expected outcome for the Edil Cris Racing Team. The front row in qualifying spread optimism among the whole team that thought a prestigious result was possible. The race went along a different path instead and the two F430 Ferraris suffered huge tyres problems. After the first laps at the lead of the race, performances got worse for both cars within a few laps. After changing the tyres in the pitstop their decay curve followed the same behaviour and this put the word end to every ambition of the team. Cressoni-Mediani concluded therefore seventh under the chequered flag, while Ruberti-Pasini finished eighth.

All´inizio eravamo veloci, poi i tempi hanno iniziato bruscamente ad alzarsi e in breve siamo usciti dalla lotta per il podio. Something must clearly be wrong if a team obtains the whole first row of the grid and finishes the race lapped. UN PROBLEMA AL FONDO PIATTO ANNULLA IL PODIO DI RUBERTI-MEDIANI A BRNO 23/09/2007

Podio con squalifica per Ruberti-Mediani a Brno. Léquipaggio della Ferrari F430 numero 52 ha concluso terzo sotto la bandiera a scacchi, grazie ad una superba prestazione dei due piloti e ad una vincente strategia. Nel dopo gara, durante le verifiche tecniche, è emerso un problema nelláltezza da terra nella zona della ruota anteriore destra. Probabilmente a causa di un impatto con un cordolo il fondo piatto ha subito una deformazione, riducendo leggermente ed in modo ininfluente sulle prestazioni láltezza da terra della vettura in quel punto. I commissari, pur comprendendo la buona fede del Racing Team Edil Cris, hanno proceduto come da regolamento alla squalifica della vettura. Settimo posto invece per Linossi-Cressoni, partiti dalla pit-lane dopo il problema al cambio di ieri che aveva impedito alla vettura di prendere parte alle qualifiche.

After the race, during technical verifications, a problem emerged in the height of the zone near the front right tyre. Nelle qualifiche di ieri Paolo Ruberti aveva ottenuto il quinto posto sulla griglia di partenza, mentre Matteo Cressoni aveva chiuso ottavo. I risultati della gara di oggi hanno visto le due Ferrari F430 della squadra tagliare il traguardo nella stessa posizione di partenza. BITTER NOGARO FOR RACING TEAM EDIL CRIS 30/09/2007 The second last round of the FIA GT held at the French circuit of Nogaro has been steeper than expected for Racing Team Edil Cris. Paolo Ruberti scored the fifth time on the grid during yesterdayÂ´s qualifying while Matteo Cressoni got the eighth. Race results saw the two F430 Ferraris of the team conclude in the very same position as that of the getaway. Ruberti and Mediani kept a race pace that would have allowed them to finish on the podium but a bumping due to Xavier Pompidu pushed the Italian driver to the last position, this definitely compromised the final result.

VICTORY AT ADRIA IN THE OPENING ROUND OF THE ITALIAN GT 01/04/2007 Racing Team Edil Cris in evidence at the opening round of the Italian GT Championship at Adria. Linossi-Mugelli crew on Ferrari F430 obtained the third place in race one, while Cressoni-La Mazza scored a sixth place behind the wheel of their 360 Modena. In the second race great victory for Linossi-Mugelli and podium for Cressoni-La Mazza, third under the checkered flag. Thanks to the mentioned results the GT2 classification sees Linossi and Mugelli at the second place with 24 points, three points behind the leading couple Livio-CasĂ¨. Fourth position instead for Cressoni and La Mazza with 16 points.

Le qualifiche di ieri avevano visto la F430 del Racing Team Edil Cris conquistare la pole position per entrambe le gare mentre Bontempelli-La Mazza stabilivano il settimo tempo nella prima manche e completavano la prima fila nella seconda. In gara uno, disputata in mattinata, un contatto al via con l’equipaggio Livio-Casè ha tolto a Linossi-Mugelli la possibilità di lottare per il successo. L’equipaggio ha comunque concluso al quarto posto, conquistando punti preziosi per il campionato. Ritiro invece per Bontempelli-La Mazza, a causa della rottura di un particolare di una sospensione.

The F430 of Edil Cris Racing Team obtained yesterday the pole position of both races, while Bontempelli-La Mazza got the seventh position in race one starting grid and a second place for race two. A contact with the crew Livio-Caselli at the race start prevented Linossi-Mugelli to fight for the victory of race one. Nevertheless, the Edil Cris couple finished the race in fourth position, obtaining precious points for the championship classification. Bontempelli-La Mazza retired instead, due to a problem with a suspension.

The victory arrived after a difficult beginning, with the disqualification in the first race due to an error of the team in the management of pit stops length according to the “performance balancing” rule. ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR EDIL CRIS AT MUGELLO 01/07/2007 Edil Cris racing team brings home another great result from the fourth round of the GT Italian Championship held at Mugello whereby the team obtained two podiums. This is an amazing performance, especially by considering that the car of Francesco La Mazza and Lorenzo Bontempelli was subjected to a time penalization in race one, due to their previous results, according to championship rules. Despite this time delay imposed by rule, Edil Cris crew obtained the second position. Good performance for Luciano Linossi and Massimiliano Mugelli as well that concluded in fifth position. In race two another podium for La Mazza Bontempelli that obtained the third absolute place, at their back, constant as ever, the car driven by Mugelli and Linossi.

Abbiamo sviluppato la strategia in questo senso, per evitare eccessive penalizzazioni nel prossimo round. POSITIVE OUTCOME OF VALLELUNGA FOR RACING TEAM EDIL CRIS 16/09/2007 Racing Team Edil Cris comes out of the Vallelunga race with a classification increment and a high level performance achieved by all its drivers. Another podium conquered by F430 Edil Cris Ferraris thanks to the crew Massimiliano Mugelli - Luciano Linossi, while Francesco La Mazza managed to keep the third position in the classification also thanks to the good performance of his new team-mate Glauco Solieri. The next round of the Italian GT Championship will be held at Monza on the 21st of October.

Francesco La Mazza: “Per me è stato un week-end positivo. In gara uno partivamo dalla quarta fila, la macchina andava bene ma purtroppo ho commesso una leggerezza alla curva Roma sbattendo contro le barriere. Fortunatamente siamo riusciti a terminare al settimo posto. In gara due siamo partiti sesti mantenendo la posizione fino alla bandiera a scacchi, risultato che mi consente di mantenere la terza posizione in classifica generale. Un ringraziamento speciale va ai meccanici della squadra, che sono riusciti in sole due ore a riparare la macchina”. Il prossimo e conclusivo appuntamento del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo è in programma il 21 ottobre sulla pista di Monza.

Francesco La Mazza: “It was a positive weekend for me. We were on the fourth row of race one´s grid but the car was good. Unfortunately I committed a lightness at the Roma turn and I hit the barrier, nevertheless we managed to conclude the race in seventh position. Race two was without praise or blame, we were sixth at the getaway and so we arrived. This allowed me to keep the third place in the general classification. I´d like to send my special thanks to all mechanics of the Racing Team Edil Cris that were able to fix my car in a couple of hours”.

VITTORIA AMARA A MONZA 21/10/2007 Finale amaro nel Campionato Italiano GT per i colori del Racing Team Edil Cris. Nonostante la vittoria di Bontempelli e Cressoni in gara due, Linossi e Mugelli non sono riusciti ad aggiudicarsi il titolo in una giornata avversa all´equipaggio che fino oggi era stato in testa alla classifica. In gara uno lo scoppio di un pneumatico nelle fasi finali della corsa ha relegato la Ferrari F430 numero 2 in nona posizione, mentre nella seconda manche, sempre negli ultimi giri, un problema al cambio ha fatto perdere a Mugelli secondi preziosi. Il pilota toscano ha tagliato il traguardo quarto sotto la bandiera a scacchi. Con questi risultati Linossi e Mugelli chiudono il campionato con il maggior numero di punti, ma lo scarto dei quattro peggiori risultati imposto dal regolamento premia la coppia Livio-Casè, a cui va il titolo italiano. Per completare il quadro della giornata, in gara uno Cressoni e Bontempelli hanno chiuso sesti, mentre Solieri è uscito di pista nei primi giri. Nella seconda manche, Solieri e La Mazza hanno tagliato il traguardo settimi.

DISAPPOINTING VICTORY AT MONZA 21/10/2007 Bitter finale for Racing Team Edil Cris in the Italian GT Championship. Despite Bontempelli and Cressoni victory in race two, Linossi and Mugelli did not succeed in winning the title in a particularly disappointing day for the team that lead so far the classification. In race one, the blowout of a tyre in the final stages pushed the number 2 Ferrari F430 down to the ninth position, while a problem to the gearbox made Mugelli lose several precious seconds in race two. The Tuscan driver got the chequered flag in fourth position. With these results, Linossi and Mugelli conclude the championship with the highest number of points but the discard of the four worse results imposed by rule awards the couple Livio-CasĂ¨ with the Italian title. For the records, Cressoni and Bontempelli concluded race one in sixth position while Solieri went out of the track during the first laps. In race two, Solieri and La Mazza concluded seventh.

Giancristiano Cavalleri (Team Owner): “Non posso rimproverare nulla alla squadra: abbiamo fatto il massimo per ottenere questo titolo, ma la cattiva sorte ha giocato contro di noi. E´ un peccato, soprattutto perché senza il meccanismo degli scarti avremmo vinto con buon margine. Complessivamente il nostro bilancio della stagione rimane positivo: siamo un team giovane, che era al suo primo anno sia nel FIA GT che nel Campionato Italiano. Siamo stati protagonisti in tutte le gare a cui abbiamo partecipato e l´esperienza acquisita ci permetterà di essere ancora più competitivi il prossimo anno.”

“I have nothing to blame the team for: we gave the maximum to get this title but the bad luck played against us. It is a real shame, especially because without the discards mechanism we would have won the title with a big margin. The outcome of our season as a whole is nevertheless positive: we are a young team that was a rookie both in the FIA GT and in the Italian Championship. We managed to be protagonists in all the races we took part to and the experience we got this year will allow us to be more competitive next season”.
