Which Current Has Been the Winner Since 2009 to 2016?

In a political note, the Fars News Agency called the overwhelmed joy for the results of the elections in Tehran as worthless and an illusion of victory, and notes that the results of the capital have no impact on the fundamentalist discourse of the Majles (parliament). The internal media of Iran, according to their closeness to the conservative or reformist currents release their reports and headlines by highlighting the victory or failure of this or that faction.

It appears that the reasoning of the Fars note is that the power is somewhere else and the going and coming of this or that in the Majles (parliament) or the Assembly of Experts has no impact on replacing this power: the (royal!!!) court issues the order and the rest is only the competition of the people with each other. News agencies like Tasnim or Fars (close to the security and military currents) maneuver on the domination of the conservatives, especially in cities other than

Tehran, and websites close to the government highlight achievements like the failure of Mesbah and Yazdi to enter the Assembly of Experts or the failure of Haddad Adel and Agha Tehrani to access the seats of the Majles.

The combination of the tenth parliament will have a difference of 80 percent with the ninth parliament. The latest results of the elections of the Majles throughout the country show that the reformists (Omid List) have won 92 seats, and the conservatives 91, and the independents have won 25 seats. The results for 52 seats are left for the second round. In most analyses, the tenth parliament is not similar to any previous parliaments and no special faction will have total dominance. Etemad newspaper on Saturday evening had written that three powerful fractions of Omid (reformists), and the conservatives and the independents would form the tenth parliament. In this speculation Aref, Haddad, and Larijani, respectively, would be the leaders of the fractions, but the counting of the votes of a thousand ballot boxes in the north of Tehran changed the equations. 30 representatives of Tehran are all from Omid list and Haddad was left out of the list. The “Asr-e-Iran website, an affiliate of the moderate conservatives, called the conservatives as the loser of the elections of the tenth parliament, and considered the reasons like falling of the fundamentalist bloc, and the domination of the extremists, and the presence of extras, and mistakes in propaganda by accusing the rival candidates as being English oriented, effective on this loss. But the Fars News Agency wrote a sharp note in the opposite direction.

“Victory show-off through reforms glasses” On Sunday morning, the 28th of February, a note titled “the change of the illusion of 2009 to the illusion of 2016” was released in Fars in which the result of the elections in Tehran was described as “a heavy defeat shown as a victory through the glasses of reforms”. This note, which seems to be the reflection of the views of the commanders of the Army, considers the overwhelming joy of the votes of the reformists a sentimental and unstable affair which has no political or strategic value. In another part of the note the writer of Fars concludes that if the final aim of an election is to control the helm of an institution like the Islamic Consultative Assembly or the Assembly of Experts, then the reformist faction and the government have definitely failed in these elections. It appears that the reasoning of the Fars note is that the power is somewhere else and the going and coming of this or that in the Majles (parliament) or the Assembly of Experts has no impact on replacing this power: the (royal!!!) court issues the order and the rest is only the competition of the people with each other.
