still don’t know how he got everything up there!” marvels Amanda Hearst of the massive antique ceilings, fireplaces and 25,000 artifacts her great-grandfather William Randolph Hearst used to furnish Hearst Castle in San Simeon. The Manhattanbased model, journalist and philanthropist recently spent a day at the property starring in Oliver Peoples’ Resort/Spring 2014 campaign shot by Lisa Eisner. While she’s been going to the castle since she was a baby, “for the first time in my life I was able to

walk around as if I lived there…wearing pajamas in the bedroom, playing with the Arabian horses. It was surreal.” Hearst works with the castle’s Preservation Foundation and says she would eventually like to start her own jewelry collection. At the top of her Christmas list this year: “Will Cotton painted a portrait of me, which is at my mom’s house in the Hamptons. I’d really love to get one of the sketches he did to frame for my apartment.” oliverpeoples.com; hearstcastlepreservation.org. •
