Skincare savant Kristina Holey was first drawn to the East Bay for its slower pace, close proximity to San Francisco and cultural diversity. “There’s an amazing community of inspiring, creative people [in Berkeley and Oakland] that we call family,” says the Ojai-born facialist, whose holistic, eponymous Tendernob studio has earned her international renown. Between spells in Paris and New York, Holey has called the East Bay home for more than 10 years, on and off.
