Grace Silk and William Tisch met through friends in Santa Barbara while they were both on college break. Five years later, Tisch proposed during a trip to Vienna, and in August 2016, the couple—who now resides in New York City—chose the lush oasis of the Hotel Bel-Air as the site of the vows. The California nuptials were a homecoming of sorts: Grace was raised in Carpinteria, while William’s hometown is Santa Barbara. The ceremony took place by the hotel’s iconic swan pond, and dinner was held on the front lawn under the stars. When it came time to dance, the party moved into the ballroom, where no detail was left untouched. “The bespoke dance floor was hand-painted and inspired by a vintage European tile I found,” says Grace. Stringer lights created a glittering canopy from the ceiling. Soul phenom Leon Bridges and his band kicked off the night, setting the tone for the celebratory evening. The bride wore a three-piece dress by Inbal Dror: a beaded minidress, a tulle skirt and a long-sleeve lace gown over the top. “It felt ethereal and romantic,” says Grace, who is planning to pursue her master’s degree in science and currently works as an executive assistant at New York design showroom and gallery Les Ateliers Courbet. The groom—an executive with the Eldridge Hospitality Group whose father, Steve Tisch, is a film producer and chairman and executive vice president of the NFL’s New York Giants—wore a navy suit by Tom Ford.
