ABIGAIL Turin Over a decade ago, Abigail Turin left a posh position at architect David Chipperfield’s London office, returned to her native California (she grew up in Berkeley) and co-founded her own architecture and design firm, Kallos Turin (kallosturin.com). Now dividing time between her family’s main residence in Pacific Heights and a polished beachfront address in Carpinteria, the designer is busy putting her signature style (“rigorous minimalism opposed by a layer of whimsy”) on projects from Montana to Punta del Este, Uruguay.
