CLUB SPOTLIGHTS
CLUB OFFICER SPOTLIGHT: Kaleb Carter By Maggie Wilson, GMU CKI Kaleb Carter, our recently elected Editor, has been a great asset to George Mason’s CKI this year. Even though he is a freshman, he has come into our club excited to help our club grow and is recruiting people to join. He was one of four George Mason CKI members to attend Fall Membership Rally this past weekend. Kaleb has attended all club meetings and a social, joined our intramural volleyball team, and has attended two service projects to date. Kaleb is going to help our club restart our website and has designed a great logo for GMU CKI to use for our Eliminate campaign. I cannot wait to see the great things he will do as editor!
CLUB MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Luis Vallesteros By Maggie Wilson, GMU CKI Luis Vallesteros, a freshman at George Mason, has been an active member of GMU’s CKI since day one at our Dip into Service interest meeting. Although he was one of two prospective members to attend our recruitment week he stuck with us. The scarce turnout at recruitment week didn’t scare him off. Since recruitment week Luis has attended two of our three service projects. Along with being active with the service projects, Luis has attended all club meetings and socials. He is signed up to play for our intramural volleyball team and to be a part of the ELIMINATE committee. Luis has definitely gone above and beyond the average member!
