Co-op City Baptist Church Rev. Dr. Sheldon E. Williams and the Co-op City Baptist Church family invites you to join us tomorrow at 9 a.m. for worship service. During Summer hours, there will be one worship service on Sunday at 9 a.m. Summer hours will remain through Sunday, Sept. 8. All Prayer Services are also on hiatus for the summer and will return in September. Sunday school for children and adults is suspended for the summer and will resume Sunday, Sept. 15 at 9:15 a.m. On Sunday, Sept. 8, we will have Family and Friends Day Service at 9. All are invited to join us. Join the scholarship ministry on a trip to Mount Rushmore, the Badlands and the Black Hills of South Dakota, July 17, 2020. The trip includes motor coach transportation, 10 nights lodging, 18 meals, visits to the spectacular Badlands National Park, the Mount Rushmore National Memorial and much more. NYPD invites you to a discussion of the public safety challenges in our neighborhood Thursday, Aug. 29 at 1:30 p.m. The doors will open at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at Dreiser Community Center, located at 177 Dreiser Loop, room 1. Come meet our neighborhood coordination officers as they collaborate with Co-op City residents in identifying and solving local quality-of-life conditions and crime concerns. Traditional Synagogue

General information The Traditional Synagogue is located in Section 5, 120 Erdman Place in the rear lobby of 27B. It is on the ground floor of Building 27B. It is handicap accessible, no steps. Phone: 718-379-6920. Office hours are Thursday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Please call the office before you attempt to come over. If no one is in the office, please leave a message. The synagogue has services on Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. After services, we always have a kiddush. The synagogue has a Facebook page: Traditional Synagogue. The synagogue needs donations. Whatever amount you can donate, big or small, would help the synagogues’s finances. The synagogue needs men to help make a minyan. There are a lot of Jewish men who live in Co-op City who don’t come to services. Please come by 9 a.m. so we can take out the Torah. The Traditional Synagogue is the only synagogue in Co-op City. Sabbath ends on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at 8:52 pm. Candle lighting for Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, 7:32 p.m. Good and Welfare We sell tree certificates, in honor or memory of a loved one. The cost is only $15 per tree. Mazel Tov, to all having Simchas. If you’re ill, wishing all good health. If you asked the Rabbi to say prayers for a sick person you should make your donation to the synagogue. To all members Happy birthday to all members who will celebrate their birthday in August.
