PUBLIC WORKS WELCOME JOHN WILLIAMS AS NEW SUSTAINABILITY Technician FREE HOLIDAY TREE RECYCLING

In August, 2022, John Williams joined the Public Works Waste Not team as the new Sustainability Technician, replacing Joe Hill, who has taken off to San Diego for graduate school. John brings a wealth of experience to the District with knowledge in the water utility and energy sectors, wildlife management, education/outreach, construction and conservation/sustainability.

John is a longtime Tahoe resident; is married to former Public Works employee Rebecca Williams, and has two awesome kids. He is excited to continue the District’s sustainability and environmental services work with its focus on protection of the Tahoe community’s natural resources.

Curbside Tree Collection Week

January 9 to 13, 2023

Waste Management will collect clean trees for recycling curbside on your normal trash service day, for free, only during the week of January 9 - 13, 2023. Trees must be cut down into segments no longer than three (3) feet each. Trees must be clean of all decorations, nails and tree stands. Curbside collection is only available to Incline Village and Crystal Bay residents. Trees placed curbside any other time are considered excess trash and will be subject to extra charges/violation.

Drop-Off at Preston Field

Open December 23, 2022 to January 30, 2023

Trees can be any size, but must be clean of all decorations, nails and tree stands.

All trees are chipped by the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District for local erosion control projects.
