Confident due diligence
Harlequin Floors, the global leader in floors and studio equipment for the performing arts, has launched a new European online shop in response to unprecedented global demand for home studio equipment. Dancers across the world suffering under the stringent lockdown conditions due to COVID-19, have been unable to practice and train at home at a professional level. They are therefore turning to Harlequin, known and trusted by the world’s dance companies, to provide them with dance mats, home studio kits and ballet barres for their new home studios. The expanded Harlequin Home Studio Equipment range also offers the renowned Harlequin vinyl dance floors and equipment in portable sizes.
The pandemic has hit the country’s businesses hard. Restrictions on movement, which limit meetings in person, have shown the need to find new solutions for quick access to loans. Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) is therefore accelerating the digitalisation of contracts, and certain procedures can now be conducted digitally due to e-signatures signed with the help of a LuxTrust product that have the same legal value as a handwritten signature. Clients and the bank can now sign documents and validate applications electronically, saving time and increasing security, or clients can choose to visit their local branch. Overdraft facilities and investment loans are the first to benefit.
Finologee, the Luxembourg FinTech platform operator, and Harmoney, the Know Your Customer (KYC) solutions provider from Ghent (Belgium) have launched a strategic joint venture under the name KYC Manager to improve customers’ and back-office staff’s experiences through a compliant suite of hosted digital KYC software. They aim to bring a readyto-use digital customer onboarding and lifecycle management solution to the Luxembourg market. The hosted solution will enable Luxembourg-regulated financial institutions to accelerate their digital transformation and reshape the way they manage their clients across the entire lifecycle and in full compliance with Luxembourg’s financial industry regulations.
As financial crime becomes more sophisticated and regulators demand that the financial industry mount an appropriate response, the European Fund Administration (EFA) has chosen i-Hub's technology for customer due-diligence (AML/KYC) services. Indeed, regulators now supervise their charges more frequently and take enforcement action more readily and with greater penalties, even if obligations are delegated to another entity. Regulatory compliance comes first but EFA also aims for client satisfaction, which is why they have chosen i-Hub's customer due-diligence technology, so clients can be confident that they comply fully with AML/KYC laws at all times, and to ensure timely service and reporting to the best market standards for everyone concerned.

GOODYEAR
Ready to roll, whatever the weather Goodyear has introduced the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, the latest installment in its award-winning range of all-season tires, this time with improved snow, wet and dry performance.
The all-season segment is one of the fastest growing in the tire industry. Consumers who shop for all-season tires are looking for three primary characteristics: safety in all weather conditions, excellent braking and grip in wet conditions, and excellent braking in dry conditions. Thanks to Goodyear’s Snow Grip technology, the latest Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 tire provides improved grip for better handling on snow. The large amount of sipes at the center of the tire’s tread provide for better snow biting, improving handling on snow by 5% in comparison to the previous generation tire. Goodyear’s Dry Handling technology provides strong crown
and shoulder blocks that reduce the deformation of the tire during heavy maneuvers. This delivers 5% better dry braking versus the tire’s previous generation. The Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 also maintains its predecessor’s impressive level of aquaplaning resistance thanks to Goodyear’s Aqua Control technology, which uses deep and wide grooves to improve water dispersion. 65 new SKUs will be introduced in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and the tire has also received a number of OE approvals, with fitments planned for later this year on several vehicles and additional Goodyear fitments for other original equipment manufacturers will follow later this year.
