Capital Fee
The tuition and fees shown at present represent the rates established by the Board of Trustees for 2015-2016 effective starting with the Fall 2015 semester.
Tuition Rates
A capital fee is charged to all non-Beaver County residents. The capital fee defrays the cost of facilities including property, buildings, and equipment operated by the College.
$20 per credit - Other PA Resident $40 per credit - Non PA Resident
Tuition rates are based on residency. Three rates apply:
General Student Fee - $14 per credit hour
$142.00 per credit hour - Beaver County Resident $284.00 per credit hour - Other PA Resident $426.00 per credit hour - Non PA Resident
Technology Fee - $26 per credit hour
The general student fee funds the cost of student services, publications, academic support services, student activities, security, and library.
A flat-rate tuition rate will be applied to students taking 12 to 18 credit hours. These rates are as follows:
A fee of $26 per credit is charged to help defray the operating, software and equipment costs of providing student access to technology in support services and academic programs.
$2,130.00 – Beaver County $4,260.00 – Other PA Resident $6,390.00 – Non PA Resident
Laboratory Fee - $10 per credit hour in courses with a laboratory component
For 19 or more credits, students will be charged the flat tuition rate plus the appropriate additional per credit hour rate.
The $10 per credit laboratory fee covers the cost of expendable laboratory supplies and maintenance of laboratory equipment in those science and technology courses that include a laboratory.
Tuition Reciprocity
Re-registration Fee - $25
A tuition reciprocity agreement between the Community College of Beaver County, the Community College of Allegheny County, Butler County Community College, and Westmoreland County Community College exists for residents of Butler, Allegheny, and Westmoreland counties. For certain approved programs, these students will pay $150 per credit plus all applicable fees. Please contact the Information and Registration Center for more details.
Police Technology
Police Technology curriculum provides training for individuals interested in becoming a municipal police officer. Tuition is $119.17 per credit hour.
A non-refundable re-registration fee of $25 will be charged to students whose course schedule has been deleted for failure to make a payment or financial aid arrangements by the payment deadline.
Schedule Revision Fee - $5 per change
Students who add/drop courses will be charged a $5 fee per transaction. The fee does not apply to changes resulting from cancelled courses or other administrative schedule changes.
Returned Check Fee - $25
A fee of $25 will be charged for all checks returned by the bank.
Tuition Payment Plan Fee - $50
Out of County Dual Enrollment
A $50 fee is charged for participation in the tuition payment plan.
CCBC students enrolled in classes who are also enrolled in a Non Beaver County high school will be charged a tuition rate of 1 ½ times the Beaver County Resident tuition rate plus all applicable fees. The current tuition rate is $213.00 per credit hour.
A $100 fee is charged for failure to make payment on the tuition payment plan by the due date.
College in High School
CCBC courses offered in high school and taught by teachers in the school district. Students will receive college credit upon successful completion of the course. Tuition rates are based on location of school district. Two rates apply:
Tuition Payment Plan Late Fee - $100 Transcripts - $5 each
A $5 per transcript fee is charged for immediate access copies
Credit by Examination Fee - $75
The fee is $75 per exam for courses of 1-3 college credits. For courses or 4 credits or more, the charge is $75 plus $25 for each credit above three. The maximum charge will be $200.
