Freie Flächen Als eine von wenigen Bodenseekommunen verfügt Stockach über ein reines Industriegebiet. Das IG Hardt liegt nur ca. 1 km von der Autobahnauffahrt Stockach-West entfernt. Es stehen ca. 10 ha zur sofortigen Bebauung zur Verfügung. Für Gewerbetreibende stehen freie Flächen im Gewerbegebiet Himmelreich und im Interkommunalen Gewerbegebiet Blumhof zur Verfügung. Education/continued education/social facilities The town has excellent educational facilities with a wide choice of kindergartens and schools. Stockach is also home to the Steinbeis University that offers part-time courses leading to a Bachelor degree (B.A.). An adult education centre, a music school, an acute care hospital as well as several social facilities are also located here. Art/culture/recreational opportunities Right in the heart of the lovingly renovated historic old town is the cultural centre “Altes Forstamt”. Designated bike paths and hiking trails as well as a wide range of cultural events with concerts and various performing arts provide a wide range of recreational opportunities for the entire family.
