The Gypsy Project Bulgaria

The Orphan’s Promise Gypsy Project in Bulgaria provides a holistic approach to changing the lifestyle and worldview of the children we care for. Our aims are to draw the children into a personal relationship with Jesus and disciple them so that they understand the new life to which He calls them to.

We also aim to improve the nutritional health of the children, raise their selfesteem and encourage them to continue their education through high school and beyond. We work on the spiritual and moral development of the children as well as their intellectual, academic and physical development during this programme. We believe that this approach is having a great effect!

We want each child to know Jesus as their personal Saviour. We also want them to understand their significance and self-worth as a child of God. We want them to believe that, with hard work, they can accomplish amazing things, starting with their school performance.

As the power of the Holy Spirit begins to work within them and they begin to achieve higher grades, they begin to believe in themselves and begin to exhibit many positive life changes. Not only do grades improve, relationships with other children improve, self-discipline improves, attitudes improve and in many a servant-hearted mentality begins to develop.

The process takes time and daily attention but the results are worth it. Those that have been in the programme for two or three years are completely different than when they arrived.
