Adam Simmons is one of Australia’s most highly regarded and eclectic musicians, performing with artists as varied as Nigel Kennedy, The Pearly Shells, Australian Art Orchestra and Spiderbait. Adam also teaches shakuhachi at University of Melbourne, offers professional advice to artists and was director at Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues for two years. Adam Simmons discusses his new CD, “Zatoczka – Tribute to Komeda”, inspired by the music and legacy of legendary film and jazz composer, Krzysztof Komeda, as well as his own personal experiences of Polish culture including pierogi, paczki and maybe a little vodka.
