INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE COURSE DESCRIPTION
PROGRESSION/CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
This course is designed to give candidates a firm foundation in the skills necessary for a career in interior architecture. Students will gain design, representation and analytical skills in a studio-based environment
Graduates of this course will have the skills necessary to pursue a career in Interior Architecture. The course may also appeal to those interested in developing their own interests and skills in the area of Interior Architecture.
There is a stronge emphasis in the development of problem solving skills, including the ability to operate creatively, three-dimensionally and technically. Students will gain technical knowledge and skills relating to the construction, refurbishment, and fitout of both new and existing buildings. Design communication skills will involve the ability to draw and communicate, utilising conventional hand-drawing techniques, 2D AutoCAD and 2D/3D Parametic CAD.
Job opportunities include selfemployment, work in retail display and design industries.
