Y Yes, the grain harvest was decent due to the conditions, however, the harvest of our calf crops both last Fall and this Winter have been EXTRAORDINARY! In years past we could say that we were not getting paid for our product and the genetics we were using; because of you building your herds genetically the game has now changed and you are benefiting because of it…Congratulations! Input prices are high, so as cow calf producers we need to capitalize on all our inputs by using the best genetics available to produce the best product possible. Both the Angus and Charolais herds we have built are centered on cow families created around our Embryo Transfer program. Look at the bottom of each of the footnotes and you will find flush brothers and maternal brothers to Lots throughout the catalog to team up and use in building your herd. Our goal at LHR is to give you a variety of sire groups with every piece of information you need in order to purchase the right genetics for your herd. All bulls selling are ranch raised. We put much emphasis on raising & growing these bulls, not just feeding them. Unlike other programs, we know that by letting these bulls grow out when they are young will help their longevity in your herds. Herd health is not taken lightly; all bulls selling are ready for turnout and have been fertility tested. Updated state regulations will be implemented for the 2 year old bulls… please read the changes for 2013. This year’s sale will once again be at the Ranch. You can view the bulls prior to the sale on video at www.lhrbulls.com or by requesting a DVD. This will help in your early selection prior to joining us on sale day. If you are unable to be with us on sale day, we have also made it possible for you to bid on-line (see page 1 for details). You are welcome anytime prior to sale day to view the bulls.
